To upgrade abilities, you need to collect enough lightbulbs. It can be obtained by exploring the map, or by hitting objects in the environment (including trees, bushes, pillars, etc. Objects in both 2D and 3D environments can be hit). Once you’ve gathered enough, you can purchase upgrades from the merchant, who appears along the main story path, so there's no need to search for them specifically.

During the game, you don’t need to thoroughly explore every inch of the map, as resources are quite abundant. By Chapter 7, I had already unlocked all abilities.

I will list the locations of the Glitchbird and Art Scrolls in each chapter below.

Interactive achievements (8)

Optimistic Explorer
Try jumping off the desk. Worth a go.


At any point when you're in the 3D world, you can jump off the table to obtain it (go ahead, you won’t die).

Huge Frog
Rearrange a sentence to make the little frog huge.


During Chapter 4, you will find a bug blocking your path and a tiny frog on the right of the puzzle room. Replace the word "Tiny" with "Huge" near the frog to unlock this achievement.



Perfect Fish Grab
Catch Floatio on your first try.


In Chapter 4, you will reach a bridge underneath where you can find a fish flopping. Interacting with the fish starts a Minigame where you must grab it by pressing a prompt. If you miss it on your first attempt, Quit the game and get back in to find yourself at the start of the room on the bridge.


Huge Bridge
Rearrange a sentence to make the bridge huge.


During Chapter 4, you will come to a puzzle room where you can find a broken bridge next to some singing frogs. You must change the time of day during the puzzle and replace the words "Broken" with "Huge" from the previous page to unlock this achievement.

Cheese Mushrooms
Rearrange a sentence to make some cheese mushrooms.


In Chapter 6, you will find a room with a metal block on the left that you can tilt to open space. There are mushrooms inside the dimly lit area. Replace the word with "Cheese" underneath mushrooms to unlock this.

Star Walker
Retrieve the scroll from the top of the star projector.



During Chapter 6, you must collect several parts in the 3D world. When going for the third part inside the star projector, use your Jetpack to get to the top of the projector to unlock this, and get Art Scroll 28 at the same time.

Cheese Pillar
Rearrange a sentence to make a cheese pillar.


In Chapter 6, you will come across two large pillars blasting heavy music. You can replace "Towering" or "Noisy" with "Cheese" from the previous page to unlock this.

Bust Buster
Rearrange a sentence to blow up Humgrump's bust.


During Chapter 9, you will reach a puzzle room with a Diamond Bust of Humgrump on the right. Replace the words "Diamond" with "Broken" to blow up the bust to unlock this and obtain Art Scroll 46.

Chapter 4

In the 3D world, after using a key to open the door, you’ll enter the room shown in the image. The scroll is in the top right corner of the room.
Glitchbird 4
After entering the town, return to the 3D world and turn two pages forward. There’s a portal on the left blank space, leading back to the book and into the room.

After your teammate is captured by the bug, in the bottom left corner of the next page, behind a tree.

After entering the castle, go to the far left side. Sneak behind the wall from the right side to get in (the guard will block you from entering from the front).

Chapter 6

After completing the first launch level, on the next page, hit the trees in the top left corner of the map.

In the bottom right corner of the pitch-black cave level.

After obtaining the mini-rocket backpack, on the left side of the desk, when the story path prompts you to switch to 2D, continue flying left to the platform's tree.

When you first obtain the bomb, flip backward about 12 pages and destroy a vine-covered entrance (the entrance is on the next page).
