otherwise : I'll suggest using Crankbait ( universal bait produced by the Frog the leapper deviant) so you can fish any type of fish with it :)

I'm trying to gather all the infos about predators/regulars before updating the guide :) atm i'm not sure for all species... Some seems to bite at both types of baits. Need to fish a bit more to confirm all of that :) if u find the complete info somewhere else feel free to put it here or send me a msg i'll update the guide asap :)

Which ones are predators and which ones are regular?

Appart from using small fish to limit the type of fish you get no, i havnt found anything to increase that chance :/ But for the Barracuda you can go to the same spot that for Eels, barracuda are the only big fish there. Saw at least 4/5 asquamarine there :) The hardest one to get are the guppy and the pompano variants imo ^^ ALmost complete my collection only need to go get the Rainbow Trout variant

caught about 30 barracuda by now but no aquamarine one :')
