How to edit the Config.

This guide walks you through making the game less painful to play.

I have seen a lot of complaints about the cost of everything in game, the length of time to patrol, and so on. I agree, the default values are absolutely painful. You start your shift and 5 minutes later, its over. You pay about 800+ dollars per shift in costs alone and get paid 300 dollars for your hard work. That is just wrong.

Here I will show you how to edit your config to fix these issues for yourself. This guide only covers the config file that alters certain gameplay parameters.

Where to find the Config file.

The config file you want to alter is located at this location.

(Drive)Users\(NAME)\AppData\LocalLow\OdinGameStudio\Enforcer\Data_CUSTOMDATA

The file you will be altering is CUSTOMDATA.xml

Edits to be made.

Most of the values can be ignored. You will only be altering a few lines. I suggest using Notepad++ as it makes config files easier to read than just using Notepad.

Here are my suggested changes.

The first 2 values you will alter change the length of your on duty and off duty times.

• generalmanager_onDutyShiftTime = The default here is 800. I changed this to 1440

• generalmanager_offDutyShiftTime = The default is 1440. I changed this to 800

Basically I just swapped the default values. You have more time to patrol now! Hooray! However you will notice that now your character becomes extremely tired by the middle of your new, longer shift. We need to fix that.

Next you want to change these values.

• generalManager_statusHungryDecWithTime = The default here is -0.09. I dropped it to -0.05

• generalManager_statusEnergyDecWithTime = The default is -0.1. I dropped it to -0.04

*I ignored the stress entry but you can change that value if you want.

*If you want, you can set all of these values to 0 (zero), and that should disable them altogether

Now then, lets get rid of the over-exorbitant costs for everything

Now I set these to 0 (zero), because in most cases in real life these costs wouldn't be incurred by the Officer while the Officer is on duty. Keep in mind however that the game doesn't differentiate your off duty car with your patrol car. So changing these values also pertain to upkeep of your personal car. You can always just lower the values a bit if that bothers you, because otherwise you are hemorrhaging money all the time.

Thats it, you're done!! Save and close the file, so long as you left the syntax intact your changes will take effect. Play the game and note the differences.

Feel free to customise the values to your liking. If you scroll down you will see you can alter the chance for different crimes/activities to make the game more or less active. Just increase or decrease the values and don't forget to save the file before you close your editor of choice.

Hey all you mac users, go to the search bar thing and copy and paste this: ~/Library/Application Support/unity.OdinGameStudio.Enforcer/ it'll give you all the save data option things and config!
