Description
I created this mod to enable the addition of trees and bushes to my builds for decoration purposes.

I’ve used the models from the base game data files and adapted them in such a way that they can be placed like any other block in the game. Keep in mind this also means grid cleanup applies same as any other unpowered block, so you may want to add them to a larger grid or adjust your cleanup settings.

Most of the models you’d be familiar with in existing vanilla game worlds, however there seem to be some extra models that I’ve personally never seen spawn before. There are a couple that appear broken or incomplete, I’ve included them, but what you see is what you get.

All variants require 10x steel to build in survival mode, or can be placed in creative mode. The trees have a collision/build area of 1x1x3 blocks, the bushes 1x1x1 blocks. They only show as 1x PCU, however this is unlikely to be an accurate representation of how much they will impact on your system resource.

The various trees and bushes are fairly self-explanatory when you place them, but a special note for the ‘Broad Leaf Bush’, you can change the colour of the leaves using the standard colour palette editor.

Known Bug: some Alien trees attached to station grids can cause that grid to loose collisions, meaning your clone falls through the floor. I have checked, but I don't know what causes this or how to fix it (yet).

Collision issue is present in 1 subset of Alien trees: tall palm-like ones. They have neither collision boxes nor interaction volumes to weld or grind them.
I don't know if those are set in model file or .sbc, but maybe those missing parts can be copied from working trees into them?

@Brian Stormborn I haven't experienced any lag myself, but I expect it will, they are quite detailed models afterall. The only issue I'm aware of is that alien trees often bug the collisions for the entire grid they are attached to.

dose this mod create lag or have any issues?
i stopped using it for that reason but its the best tree mod on steam. trust me ive looked.

Unfortunately I don't know how, I copied the MWM files as they were in the base game, I didn't edit them. My mod only uses a .sbc file to make the models buildable.

I think you mis-understood, the models are in the base game, I did not create them, I just copied them. They are there for everyone to use. Either copy them out of my mod files or find them in the games files, you don't need my permission.

Hi @人族狙击手. The trees are the vanilla models from the base game, I just made those models buildable. I don't think I can give permission, because the permission is not mine to give, nor is any credit required. Help yourself to anything I've created to do with this mod, when I share publicly, I share unrestricted, it's there for anyone and everyone to use however they like.

removing the mod fixes all the issues.

alien trees or not.. mod is busted and broken.

this mod is broken.. it converts the grid to uncollisionable. making the grid uneditable.. even after copy paste with the trees built. 90% of the grid loses its collision and makes the grid unediable and unusable.
