7.37e (Core) Wacky WhirlWindranger

After playing core Windranger for six years and counting, I've got a general sense on what works on her and what doesn't. This guide is mostly for myself, but others are free to make use of it if they'd like.

A lot of that intuition went out the window when the Frontiers update dropped (and even more when the Innates and Facets update dropped), but I've adapted to changes throughout the years and I'm doing the same here. Feel free to take a look to see what items might work, what items might work against her, or even both at the same time.

The Whirlwind facet addresses some of the biggest longstanding issues with Windranger (lack of teamfight, and/or single-target saves preventing Focus Fire kills), but it does very little until you get a Maelstrom. Better suited to pos 1 or 3 unless you are confident in your ability to rush that item; mid Windranger often needs to set the tempo for the game and she can't do that early with Whirlwind. Bear in mind that if you are playing pos 3 Windranger, your team will need to adapt to your pick because you are not suited to the role in the traditional sense.
