Description
Preface

The Github Build Of Jazztronaut is HIGHLY recommend as models, textures, and gameplay features will most certainly be broken or missing without it.

Welcome to Artemis! A completely custom Jazztronauts hub level. A secondary social hub created to act as a shopping center and place to lounge or shop between trips to either Bar Samsara or wherever the voidway takes you! Featuring amenities such as an electronics store for all television needs, the Bar Artemis, the quaint cafe the station is named after, and last but not least an opera hall with seating and main stage for performances. Also available are rooms to rent in the hotel, and the familiar mewseum.

Using This Map

Using this map is as simple as launching the map on the Jazztronauts gamemode. It has all gamemode support and entities built-in. When you are finished with a level, you will have to use the console command "changelevel jazz_artemis" to swap back to the hub, as the bus itself cannot do this yet. It is planned for future Jazztronaut versions however.

For Users Of The Updated GitHub Branch Which DOES Allow Custom Hubs

Simply just type 'jazz_hub jazz_artemis' to set the bar map as Artemis. Which will now be used as the new default hub!

Issues

Any errors you find related to level design or things that may look odd. Report it in the comments and I shall take a look at it, I would prefer a discussion for larger bugs that may require some back and forth for clarification, but you shouldn't feel it's required.

honestly i can't wait for more custom jazztronaut hubs as the possibilities seem endless
like i'm imagining custom hubs based in gm_construct, tf2 maps, etc. just because the idea of the cats using these maps as other bars/bases is cool

very cool map, love all the details added and how you can go to other parts of the map usually only used in the cutscenes, the addition of the other cat skins you made was a cool touch as well! im glad to see people are still making stuff for jazztronauts, good work on this man :demoticon:

I put the FGD in Hammer but when I open the default hub, pretty much every custom texture and entities are in error, is there a way to fix that ?

You’d create one the same was as you make any other map, there’s no real rules to follow in terms of layout. You need specific entities for it to work. You can find all of them in the official FGD provided with the GitHub download of jazztronuats.

It’s not hard at all IMO. You can always look at jazz_hub (also provided with GitHub) to see how something was done.

Probably a stupid question but, how do you create a custom jazz hub ? And is it hard ? I'm quite curious and I want to try to make a simple one just for fun !
