Disable Smoke Effect

I'll have to try this when my city gets big enough, right now I'm sitting at 200 people.

Surprised no one said anything but..., tried it and it did actually help a bit, thanks!

I just installed this mod... and it caused my game to crash. Had to Ctrl Alt Del to stop game from running in background.. Then.. had to come to this page, due to game not loading whatsoever.. to unsub from this... I hope my game still works.

This mod disables the smoke effect for building in the base game. For example, the smoke effect for a stone house. The following link is to a gif that shows a map with and without this mod installed:

- The left half of the gif show the map running without this mod installed .
- In the right half of the gif, this mod is enabled .

Notice that on the bottom of the right half that two buildings still have a smoke effect. These are from mods and are not part of the base game. Therefore, this mod will not disable their smoke effect.

If you are having trouble with the mode, do the following:

1. Save your map and exit the game.
2. Restart the game and make sure mod is enabled.
3. Load your map and verify the mode is still enabled. If not, enable it.

I did not have to put this mod in any particular order compared to other mods.

Tried it but I still have smoke so not sure what this is meant to do. When my population exceeds +-1000 even my fairly beast PC struggles at x10 speed

They should have had this option in the actual game

So the FPS will improve.
