An on-rails aerial shooter for Windows PC. It's a musical game with worlds that constantly morph and animate with the soundtrack. And space is looped, making your enemies appear in multiple places at once.

Aerial Combat
Substream is a third-person on-rails action game. In each level you fly over a landscape shooting down robotic alien drones, collecting weapons and scoring points, surviving until the end of the tune. The game has an arcade feel.

Musically Animated
Substream is a music game where the entire environment constantly morphs and pulses with the rhythms, mood and melodies of the game's soundtrack. From heavy tribal electronica to gently flowing folk, enemy attacks and game events are synchronized with individual instruments in the music.

Looped Space
This all takes place in a repeating universe where your enemies and your own aircraft are mirrored through space. As you fly through the environment a single enemy will appear in multiple positions ahead of you, and your lone aircraft becomes a squadron stretching off to infinity.

@Abyss_Walker You can only play with the music provided. The levels are designed by hand to match the themes and melodies; it makes for a stronger connection with the music than a program could analyse.

Can you use custom sound tracks? Or only the music provided with the game?
