Here's my review of The Lab server owned by Sfmplayer


Acting as an independant journalist these are my own views and thoughts and in no way or shape of form use any of the assets of said server.

I have been sent a DMCA notice in regards to mod I had published just over a year ago called (Avoid-The Lab) which was just really a review and Sfmplayer is trying to claim that no one can use a name when this is simply not true as for example like I am now doing here I will be reposting my review and I have edited it to reflect as such and make it more clear as such as your basically just trying to claim copyright on a news article/review.

Another server ran by sfmplayer doomed to fail who was involved with the Sunnyvale cheater nonsense
The Lab - All they want is your money most people from what I've seen they want you to do is buy priority queue

Made this originally as a comment but I am sure some new players might appreciate this post and save them some time.

Reasons to avoid playing the lab...

For anyone interested in playing on here. This is my experience as a player with over 4k hours. Played at a professional level in apex legends too so I'm far from a "role-player".

Nezar and SFM want the server numbers to be as high as possible for as long as they can. They are currently the most popular server rn above rearmed etc..
To do this they will not ban cheaters unless they are blatantly blatantly cheating. (which not many are its mostly closet espers)
I made a ticket at the start of 2nd wipe as I got killed by a guy already pre aiming me coming around the edge of a tree line.
The response was that he would be watched and that he did not look sus.
Luckily for me our squad managed to win the fight and grab his dogtag. So I had his ign name to go off of.
I use cftools quite regularly on dayz and found his account ... he had 6 bans from other servers for cheating in the past 3 months and an server owners discord ban.

Moral of the story, they don't care and the reason there is no killfeed is because of players like me who can access players previous bans and call them out and make tickets to get them banned which in turn drops server numbers and less prio que purchases (20euro btw lol).

Icing on the cake is that one of his teammates was banned from Fallen (sfms previous server) for esp and nvidia inspector but he is on the lab having lots of fun. That's right they didn't bring over the previous banlist.

I've spent years on modded pvp servers been around and dealt with cheaters. The reality is alot of the community cheats in one way or another and if they banned all of them their server wouldn't be as successful or bring in as much money.

Server performance is abysmal btw. Every squad can have 2 bases with no build limit. Most fights is a "puller" vs "puller" fight which results in crazy desync, players freezing on the spot etc.
They are mass recruiting staff members who are inexperienced in pvp and dealing with cheaters so making tickets is a headache too.

But go ahead and spend 20 euro and have fun if this sounds like your cup of tea.

The sunnyvale owner that was involved with the cheating scandal with AnarchyHD a few years back is involved with the lab too and is verified on the discord.

Just double checked on cf tools and I don't have a global ban on the account just wondered what was up?

Rest of it was my phone but basically query'd this as was later shown my cf profile which has no bans from another admin and then saw sfmplayer typing then got kicked/banned out of the discord.
