Sims 4 Cheats New Players should know

Just a list of cheats that I use often and feel are important for new users to know to make game play more enjoyable. In addition, I'm tired of typing them out all the time :P

How to Enter Cheats

To enter Cheat Codes in The Sims 4, you must first open the Cheat Console by pressing “Ctrl + Shift + C” on your PC or Mac, while in game. This will bring up the cheat dialogue box where you can enter cheats. Don't forget to press “Enter” after typing in a cheat.”

Once you open up this box you’ll want to type in testingcheats true and hit enter. The game should say cheats are enabled and you can type in the text cheat you need. If you’re using a shift and click cheat you can hit esc or the same buttons you used to open the box to close it up again.

Create a Sim

cas.fulleditmode : allows you to change sim's appearance, gender, gender settings, pronouns, identity, personality and traits, and family relationships

Press Shift + right-click on sim you want to edit.
Choose Modify in CAS option from the pie menu.

Build and Buy

FreeRealEstate On : build anywhere for free
FreeRealEstate Off : turns off the above cheat
bb.moveobjects on : can move objects anywhere
bb.enablefreebuild : can build anywhere and edit existing buildings

• Ex: Hospital, Realm of Magic HQ, and Sixam

bb.showhiddenobjects : unlocks all hidden objects in build mode
bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement : unlocks all career items in build mode

UI Cheats

headlineeffects on : enables headline effects
headlineeffects off : disables headline effects

• Ex: Plumbobs or Speech bubbles

hovereffects on : enables hover effect
hovereffects off : disables hover effect

• Ex: Name of Sim

fullscreenToggle : makes the game fullscreen or windowed
fps on : displays your FPS in the bottom left of the interface
fps off : turns off the above cheat

Live Mode

X= First Name
Y= Last Name

resetsim X Y : resets the position of a sim

Career

X = the career

careers.add_career X : adds the career you want
career.retire X : retires your sim with pension

FULL TIME
career.promote X : promotes your sims full-time career
career.promote PartTime_X : promotes your sims part-time job

PART TIME
career.demote X : demotes your sims full-time career
career.demote PartTime_X : demotes your sims part-time job

SCHOOL
careers.promote gradeschool : promote grade school
careers.promote highschool : promote high school
careers.demote gradeschool : demote grade school
careers.demote highschool : demote high school

Relationships

X= Sim 1 full name
Y= Sim 2 full name

FRIENDSHIP
relationships.create_friends_for_sim : creates a new sim with instant friendship
relationship.introduce_sim_to_all_others : instantly introduces your Sim to all neighbors
modifyrelationship X Y 100 LTR_friendship_main : creates 100% positive friendship
modifyreltaionship X Y -100 LTR_friendship_main : creates 100% negative friendship

ROMANCE
modifyrelationship X Y 100 LTR_romance_main : creates 100% positive romance
modifyrelationship X Y -100 LTR_romance_main : creates 100% negative romance

ADDING & REMOVING FROM FAMILY
Hold down shift and click on sim and the options will appear in a pie menu.

EXAMPLE

Sim States

SATISFACTION & NEEDS
X = amount of points

sims.give_satisfaction_points X : adds satisfaction points
fillmotive motive_energy : refills sims energy
fillmotive motive_hunger : refills hunger
fillmotive motive_hygiene : refills hygiene
fillmotive motive_social : refills social
fillmotive motive_fun : refills fun
fillmotive motive_bladder : refills bladder
sims.fill_all_commodities : refills all needs

IMMORTALITY
death.toggle true : Sim cannot die
death.toggle false : Sim can die

Money

Typing “rosebud” or “kaching” would earn you 1,000 simoleons
Typing “motherlode” will get you 50,000 simoleons
Typing "money X" will get you any amount you enter to replace the X

Aspirations and Skills

X = skill you want

ASPIRATION
aspirations.complete_current_milestone : completes current sims aspirational goal
sims.give_satisfaction_points X : Gives desired amount of satisfaction points

• X represents number of satisfactions points

SKILLS
stats.set_skill_level Major_X 10 : adult skill you want to max with 10 levels
stats.set_skill_level Minor_X 5: adult skill you want to max with 5 levels
stats.set_skill_level Skill_child_X 10 : child skill you want to max
stats.set_skill_level Skill_toddler_X 5 : toddler skill you want to max

I've been playing for awhile, but I still condsider my self new to SIMS since I don't do much beyond creating characters and their homes. It's not as fun with just one charactrer, but then having like 3 is ridiculous sometimes! lol so many needs. I didn't know there was a cheat for needs! Sooooooo helpful!!
