Lost Province [B41]

Description
Welcome to Canada
Lost Province is a massive standalone map fully re-creating the island province of Prince Edward Island (PEI) in Canada. Every city and town on the island has been faithfully re-created in high detail. Set in the days following the global spread of the Knox Event infection, the residents thought being on an island would spare them from the horror unfolding across the globe. They were not spared. This tranquil island, once the birthplace of confederation, the garden of the gulf, now just another... Lost Province.

Special Thanks:
A big thank you to everyone in the Unoffical PZ Mapping Discord. This map wouldn't have been possible without their collective knowledge and support.

Notes:
This MAP is not intended to be played with the full in-game map [M]. A GPS perception of the world is anachronistic to the early 90s period, and is not true to the spirit of that era or the spirit of the apocalypse during any era. Think of the map available to you more as looking out at the horizon to see the lay of the land. You roughly know your position on the island, but that's it.
If you are playing this MAP for the first time, I strongly recommend experiencing it without that in-game map crutch. However, if you are someone that cannot live without contemporary conveniences and wants to stack the odds in your favour in an unrealistic and anachronistic way, an in-game map is available courtesy of Alree:

If you want an even more immersive experience, below is a mod that turns the water surrounding Prince Edward Island into seawater, as well as populating the appropriate bodies of water with its corresponding fish, mod courtesy of nurver:

@Oppolla: Thanks for the answer. I appreciate it. I'm playing around in Hairburg ATM, but I'll put Last Province back in my load order in the future. :-)

Conversion of Lost Province for B42 is close to finishing, but I'm going to keep it as a separate workshop item for now. Gonna hold off on updating the main mod until B42 further along. For now if you want to play this map on any version of B42, this is the page:

The loot is all roomdef based. With way PZ handles loot, some containers in B41 are not covered by a roomdef. So say there is a "factory" roomdef and there was a counter in that factory. That counter would never spawn anything because "counter" is not specifically defined in the factory roomdef. This caused the map to be lacking in lacking in loot for specific roomdefs. I made a patch to resolve this that for some reason caused so much confusion but to me it makes sense. If a room is a factory, then everything in that room would contain factory stuff. That is all that patch does. I think the issue is people do not read the rooms as what they are supposed to be so they walk into what I intend to be a factory and they see a counter, and then they think that factory is.... a kitchen? But it's acutally a factory with factory things in it

Genuine question. I played this a while back and found sometimes (often?) the loot I got didn't suit the location I got it from. Think like car parts from kitchen cabinets. Has anything been done in the last year or so to work on making sure loot tables suit the location?

Just curious. I enjoyed it for quite a while before I moved on to other games for a while.
