1.4.0 is out!
1.3.0 Released - Fleets
Fragmented Galaxy is a real-time strategy and role-playing game set in space. Utilizing a control scheme similar to that found in the Homeworld series, the game lets players fully explore a simulated 3D universe in a unique way.

Web demo and standalone download:

Planned features:
  • A 4X / role-playing campaign set in galaxy at war and under threat.
  • Random galaxy generator for non-story 4X gameplay (single- and multi-player).
  • Multi-player skirmish mode where players send fleets against each-other in a traditional multi-player setting.

You inhabit a mother-ship which is extended and expanded as play progresses. This mother-ship can be either the core of your fleet or a solitary fortress. Ships will be completely modifiable with a tech tree to traverse for the 4X modes, along with a deep economy to give the galaxy life.

Since this project is so early in the design phase, I can't provide many details. However, I would like to hear what you have to say about the idea and what you think of my progress so far.
