Tho, this mod has not been maintained since 2024 since the coder's departure, so on technical aspect of things I couldn't offer further help, sorry about that.
Everything works fine in the menus, but in-game every key (gamepad included) does nothing aside from Esc
In the log that generates, the only mod that causes problems is this one with the following messages repeated a lot of times:
[INFO] - Error in "PostRender" call: ...ds/martha_2987653166/compatibilities/dss/dssmenucore.lua:1745 : attempt to index a nil value (upvalue 'menuinput')
[INFO] - Error in "PostRender" call: ...ds/martha_2987653166/compatibilities/dss/dssmenucore.lua:1745 : attempt to index a nil value (upvalue 'menuinput')
[ASSERT] - m_Parent invalid downcast
As soon as I uninstall it, everything works fine
Happy new year btw
That being said--if you're looking for something that gives a decent challenge, I implore you to unlock Tainted Martha and give it a shot too! And you may default unlockables to "unlocked" in the Dead Sea Scroll setting of the mod if you're not inclined to engage with the base character for unlockable sake.
The scaling of HOPE blast's damage output had been a massive point of attention during the development process, one complaints I received from players in the local competitive scene (back when the thing still runs on 7 HOPE counts instead of 6 and has a reduced damage output) is that the item (thus the main gimmick of the character) loses relevancy late game due to 1) insufficient damage output and 2) using resources on purchasables such as Stairway/Member Card shop or other purposes is more favored upon with more resources for disposal. I can't say for sure the current way it's handled is the best way to go about it (to this day I'm still questioning my decisions), but it's still hard to round such a "final attack" ability up.
