Description
Overview
Culture Based Tome Units

The idea of the mod is to make all the racial tome units also grab the visuals of the culture it's based on.
For now all the Tome Level 1 units are done, the rest should be implemented more quickly, as the T1 tomes have the most amount of units.

Some units might not change, like the Zealot for the Feudal, since it's visual is quite close to the culture. Also other units like summons, or neutral ones are currently not possible to be visually changed, unless I make them racial based aswell.

Updates

16/11/24 - Added all the mising Tome units (from the Afflictor up to the Shades) for all the older cultures. Next update is to focus on the Oathsworn culture!

11/11/24 - Finished the Primal Culture for the last units. Next step is to Finish all the new tome units for all old factions (afflictor, constrictor, pyre templar, etc) and then move on to the Oathsworn culture that is currently using the Feudal Theme

9/11/24 - Fix to Major problems of missing models. A lot of things broke on the last DLC, and might need sometime to properly fix. The plan is FIX -> Finish Primal Culture -> Finish Missing Units (Conscrictor, Pyre Templar, etc) -> Work on Oathsworn culture

22/11/23 - Reaver Culture units added.
Fixes to several units.

28/06/23 - Final Batch of Units from Tier III and Tier IV - Eagle Rider, Warbreed, Transmuter and Tyrant Knight.
Fixes to several units according to feedback

14/06/23 - Bath of Tome Tier II Units - Zephyr Archer, Glade Runner, Necromancer and Inquisitor

07/06/23 - First Commit

Know Issues and WIP
Some clipping occurs, but I'll try to fix it as I progress.

can attest to some invisible units, no crash until now though. I did note take a note of all them but can confirm mystic afflictor is broken

still playing with the mods for now

If you can point it out I would gladly fix them. I've played several matches now, and the only problem I've faced is the Staff from Priest not being properly placed, and the shield of Phantasm Warrior

To give an addendum - several units still work completely fine. I suspect that what's gone bad is that the game probably has some internal "reference table"; either using strings, or numerical ids, to refer to all these different costume parts. When giant kings came out, some of these ids got changed (there are a lot of potential reasons for this, but the only thing that really matters is that it got busted). My guess is that rather than crashing or asserting, the game handles a broken reference like this by just not showing a model.

Yeah, this is an amazing mod; it may have been busted upon the release of Giant Kings, though - I'm noticing several units having invisible model components.

Everything was working until now, but for certain characters storm bringer units appear to be invisible.

avocado.diaboli@ This mod removes the standard outfit and changes it to a new one for each culture. The mod "Von Schnitzel's Culture Tome Units and Alternate Culture Appearance" removes cultures and replaces them with new ones, like dark1 dark2 dark3, feudal1 feudal2, etc., and makes a new entire modular system for them. Therefore, it has a problem with compatibility, or do it for it from the beginning.

I have a possibly dumb question, but is there any difference between what this mod does and Von Schnitzel's Culture Tome Units and Alternate Culture Appearance?
It seems both mods are doing the same thing (with different visuals of course).
Or am I missing something here?

Not sure if you have worked on Oathsworn yet but if you have Pyromancers appear to have two outfits on overlapping each other
