Increase your in game resolution scale to 200% and Overall image quality

This guide is based on a lot of tests I have done on the Demo & Open Beta version of the game.

1- First make sure your internal in game resolution is set to 5 only and then close the game.

2- Second go to the steam game directory where you installed Street Fighter 6 then find the file called config.ini open it and search for:

[RenderConfig]
ImageQualityRate=X - (Change this value from 1 ~ 2 or whatever value you like)

3- Copy any value you like from the list below and replace it so it should look like this ImageQualityRate=2 finally save and close the config.ini file but make sure your PC can handle 200% if not then try lower values.


For example:

ImageQualityRate=0.5 -----> = 50% - (Lowest image quality but gains a lot of performance)

ImageQualityRate=0.8 -----> = 80%

ImageQualityRate=1 -----> = 100% - (Default)

ImageQualityRate=1.2 -----> = 120%

ImageQualityRate=1.25 -----> = 125%

ImageQualityRate=1.5 -----> = 150%

ImageQualityRate=1.75 -----> = 175%

ImageQualityRate=1.8 -----> = 180%

ImageQualityRate=2 -----> = 200% - (Highest image quality and most demanding)

4- Additionally I suggested you to turn off Bloom and Motion Blur,Depth of Field for even better and crisper/cleaner image quality.

*UPDATE* You can ignore all the steps above and just use GPU driver based Image sharpening like "AMD image sharpening" or the equivalent from NVIDIA it does give the same quality as 200% resolution scale with literally zero impact on the performance, You can use both if you really want 200% resolution scale plus driver based Image sharpening AMD / NVIDIA it's up to you.

*Note: This guide might get updated or changed based on what might change in the game graphics settings or when new graphics tech added over the years in the future, Have Fun.

Not sure, try to start the game, change settings ingame, save it by exiting to main menu, open confit and edit config, save it and set read-only, restart the game. That's my only guess. At some point game is trying to replace it with default config, so you should find that moment to edit and save config then set it read-only, I don't know when exactly.

Do I have to change the config.ini before opening the game and saving the game and then restarting?

I just tried to save it randomly in-game during and after options change and restart SF6, eventually it worked, but I have no idea what's the correct moment when you can "catch" that state when you can actually save it properly.

I specifically quoted Nvidia DSR and custom resolutions. You can use even 4K on 1080p monitor with DSR or DLDSR if you want.

@Storm It should be greyed out because your monitor does not support 1440p or 4K, if you think it does then check your windows resolution to make sure you are most likely on 1080p monitor.

Hello everyone, you guys should read under *UPDATE* and look for yourself the steps above should give you better results but with a huge performance impact it's up to you which method you choose.
