The Complete Guide to Beat Banger

WARNING: HEAVY SPOILERS!

This is a Soon to be Complete Guide to Beat Banger, as of right now It's still Incomplete because updates are still being rolled out for the game since it'll take 7 months more or less depending on the development pace but I am updating it frequently to flesh out and gather as much information as I can from the help of the community. So I suggest playing the game first before diving into this so that your experience with the game wouldn't be ruined right off the bat, but if you have played the game already then read away.

Gameplay Page 1

Health System

You always start with 4 Hearts but you will be able to temporarily increase your hearts to a max of 7 by purchasing Performance Pills from the shop later in the game.

How it works:

• After losing all Hearts you'll fail the Level.
  
• You lose a Heart every time you miss a note or press a different button.
  
• You can instantly recover Hearts after you lose them by not missing a note.

When Hardcore is On:

• When you turn on the Hardcore Modifier all your Hearts will convert and turn into hearts with grey X's on the middle signifying if you miss once then it's game over for you, in return you will be rewarded with a +0.5 Score Bonus making you pass the maximum score when you play normally and will also make you earn more Coins.

Score System

Scores are represented as Views

Notes:

• Half Note (Blue) (Default Key: Z)
  
• Whole Note (Orange) (Default Key: X)
  
• Eighth Note (Red) (Default Key: C)
  
• Sixteenth Note (Magenta) (Default Key: V)

Special Notes:

• Hold Notes - These notes can be Identified by a thick line attached to it. All of you have to do is hold the button down on those specific notes, It can range from any of the 4 main Notes.
  
  
• Bomb Notes - These notes can be easily Identified because it literally looks exactly like a bomb. All you have to do is avoid them, so in general don't press them otherwise it can result in a Miss / Heart Loss.
  
  
• Ghost Notes - These notes are white and are half the size of the notes you normally see. Don't worry about these ones because you don't need to press anything since it will automatically give you Perfects no matter what, They are basically free points.

• Perfect
  
• Great
  
• Nice
  
• Meh
  
• Miss

Score Multiplier:
As of the Update Hotfix V3.34 it introduced a Score Multiplier. It works by turning certain Modifiers On giving you Score Bonuses, meaning every Timing Tier is affected giving you more points for each note in a song than normal. As of right now only 2 Modifiers give these Bonuses and the highest Score Multiplier you can achieve right now is 2.0x.

Ribbons:

• Yellow Ribbon or 5 Stars = All notes on Any Timing Tier, You Can Miss | Equal or Above 90% Accuracy
  
• Blue Ribbon or 6 Stars = All Notes on Nice or Higher, No Misses | 100% Accuracy
  
• Red Ribbon or 7 Stars = All Notes on Great or Perfect, No Misses | 100% Accuracy

Accuracy Gauge:
The Accuracy Gauge is based on the amount of misses you have on a level and not from the timings of the notes. So it only records the misses from either you hitting the wrong button, missing a note or by misclicking.

For Example: If you hit a note and the timing tier was Nice You will still have 100% Accuracy but if you miss a note completely your Accuracy would go down based on how many notes are on the level. So if you missed 24 notes out of the 120 notes total in the level you are playing then your accuracy would go down to about 20%.

Combo Levels:
Combos are acquired by not missing notes at all. For Example to get a Level 1 Combo you need to not miss at least 10 notes, Of course to get higher Combo Levels you need to not miss at all.

• Level 1 Combo = 10-49 Note Streak
  
• Level 2 Combo = 50-99 Note Streak
  
• Level 3 Combo = 100-199 Note Streak
  
• Level 4 Combo = 200-299 Note Streak
  
• Level 5 Combo [MAX] = 300 Note Streak

Coins System

You start with 500 Coins now but you are basically still dirt poor, but the more you play the richer you will become.

How it works:

• Coins are earned by playing and completing levels / mods created by the community.
  
• The amount of score you have will be the amount of Coins you will earn.
  
• The V41 Update changed how much you get by completing a level, so now you get 10x more the amount of coins.
  
  For Example: If you finished a level with a score of 32,000 then that will convert into 320.00 x 10 = 3200 Coins.

Shop

The Shop or (Jasmine's) Shop is where you can use your hard earned Coins to either spice up the gameplay, buy unreleased pictures found who knows where or customize the game's music to your liking. You can change Aisles by pressing Q and E on default.

The End of The Guide

If you made it all the way here then thanks for visiting and reading the entire guide, this has taken me 5-6 hours total to put together and it has gone through so many Iterations before I published it to the public. But I'm pretty happy on how it turned out, this is like my Second Guide ever so yeah.

In my perspective It might be a guide or not depending on how you look at it but I'd say it's good enough for me.

Anyways if your done reading this then enjoy the game or you probably already have, I mean come on it's Beat Banger for Cathy's sake.
