Description
Release date: 2015
The Sun Also Rises is a Multiplayer Narrative Adventure game that explores the Global War on Terror through stories based on personal accounts by U.S. Soldiers, their families and people from Afghanistan. We want to focus on empathizing with human struggles and portray a side of war that is often overlooked.

Features:
Passive multiplayer: Every choice you make changes the game for another player. The choices you make in game are saved in the cloud and affect the gameplay for future players.

Natural conversation system: a dialogue engine that allows for miscommunication. Players can be interrupted or choose not to speak, explore the nuances of language barriers and immerse themselves in the story.

3rd Person exploration through the worldwide settings of the War on Terror.

Environmental moodscapes that utilize a vibrant color palette to juxtapose the subject matter with their beautiful settings.

"Not one bullet or explosion at all. Bold, energetic colors. It's a little weird that a game about 'the Global War on Terror' looks so beautiful." -Evan Narcisse, Kotaku

"a colorfully toned but somber look at the human cost of the wars abroad" -Jamin Warren, Killscreen

"I am keen to discover how all this works" -Alice O'Connor, Rock Paper Shotgun

"If indie game developer Horse Volume gets its way, games might be able to take war storytelling to a new level." -Sam Laney, Stars and Stripes

For lots of people commenting wanting a war game with a slightly different perspective, I reccomend Spec Ops: The Line. It's a brilliant game that I expect lots of you will like, still can't wait for the release.

This is possibly the first art game made on war. It needs to be made for the medium of video games and to further our perspective on war. It's not Call of Duty, it's not Ghost Recon, it's not Rainbow Six. It's a revelation.
