*General information*

Halbe was added to the pvp rotation in December 2016. I relased a new version to provide further updates and improvements. Take a look at v2:

Hi everyone,

this is the first map, I created for CoH 2 in 2014. It went through a ton of changes in the last months and was third place at Trics Map Contest 2016 (rural caregory). I was heavily inspired by the Battle of Halbe in 1945. Several german divisions tried to cross the Autobahn Berlin - Dresden a few days before, but were were pushed back by soviet forces. I hope you enjoy my work.

"Three days ago we had to abandon the tank. Since then we didn´t make any step further. The roads are blocked by scared civilists and lost Landsers. And there are some rumors about shootings between the SS and our boys. If I understand the map correctly we must be somewhere near Halbe. This morning we reached the Reichsautobahn. On it we are a perfect target for soviet fighter bombers. But we have to cross it, when we want to come to the West."

Played it - good work. I've noticed a tractor not providing any cover (it should give green cover). It's between a player base and the two roads. I'll ad more if i find some. PS: I just noticed you can't really change it now that it's in MM right?^^

*New Update*

-the sectors and the oob area should now fit perfectly to each other. No more units entering the northern base via the farm.

-replaced all military wrecks with map objects (excluding the oob)

-no more invisible green cover or red cover on the highway. Added some light cover (bushes, scrub) to the central reservation instead.

-tried to rebalance green cover by replacing a lot of objects. (This might need further playtesting.)

-reworked the forest for better path finding.

-new loading screen.

-added some more details to the oob area.

-changed some words in the map description.:D

Not sure yet, if I removed to much (light) cover or not. I might add some stuff back. Feedback is always welcome.

*Updated for Trics Map Making Contest 2016*

-added some trees and hedges to the southern building. Now you should see only one point from there

-updated the sector layout for a better visual look

-removed some stumps in the north for better path finding

-also replaced diverse objects at the capping points for better balance

I love this map. I have the feeling that my army is the next target on this bloody Autobahn. Excellent atmosphere, good updates, balanced gameplay. One of the best 1on1 maps here at the workshop. Hope we will see more maps, Mr Beagletank ;)
