The whole experiance feels rather upbeat and fun, with the (amazing) soundtrack adding to the theme. The controls feel a little slow, but once you get used to them they are simplistic and don't force you to think about them a whole lot - A, D, and the spacebar. The power-ups seem to be the weak point, however. They are pretty simple without much variation, and I feel that there could be more of them (or have each one be a different color so that you know what you're getting), just to add to the somewhat wacky fun of it. There is one rather neat aspect of this game that could be explored further with alternate pathways/shortcuts/etc., and that is that the faster you're going, the higher your plane is off of the track. This would encourage smart use of boosts, and some higher-level skill of being able to reach them.

This is just my 2 cents, after playing the pre-alpha demo.

@Time Jockey: That's exactly the reason of my upvote.
I give all games which have both features an instant upvote (even if they're not totally of my taste) to encourage devs to implement them.

@Crono: We will have both those things!
