Historical Destroyer/Torpedoboat/Submarine Designs for BICE

Description
Submod to BICE that adds historical destroyer/torpedoboat/escort/submarine designs to the Historical Ship Design interface for the following countries:

- Germany: destroyers, torpedoboats, minesweeper, an experimental minelayer and a bunch of subs
- Italy: destroyers, torpedoboats, escorts, plus submarines
- Britain: a LOT of destroyers and escorts, plus submarines
- France: a few designs, after 1940 France stopped producing ships at home for some reason
- Japan: destroyers plus escorts, submarines
=> please note that while the I-400 is included, it doesn't really work as a 'submarine carrier', because of limitations ingame)
=> also note that some escorts do not have a 'main battery', which means they can't be built ingame. Should be fixed with the next BICE update (so I've been told)
- USA: destroyers, escorts, minesweepers and minelayers, plus submarines, also includes escort and light carriers!
=> the escort carriers take more time to construct then in real life, because IRL they were converted from cargo ships or tankers (which you can't do ingame)
=> the light carrier Independence is designed to be converted from a Cleveland class cruiser. IRL they were converted from the hull, which you can't do ingame
=> destroyer escorts have been included in two's because there were too many different ones with little to no difference ingame

All credit goes to the people from BICE.

Please feel free to give feedback, happy to help!

I'm not 100% sure if anything's missing, but if it is, the BICE devs probably felt the missing things shouldn't be included for whatever reason?

aren't some ship design missing? Like for Italy for example?

For anyone wondering, the mod was not updated because it was going to be integrated into the mod directly. This has now been done and the designs can be found in both Test and Main builds.

Agree with Paladius Magnus.

It’s not compatible anymore with BICE Test Version. Unfortunately. This added what I really was missing. Any Chance to get an Update?

Hello, I have sent you a friend request. I want to warn you that the Historical Ship Design UI will soon be incorporated into the Tank Design UI. If you want to I can guide you through how to update your mod to that

Just wanted to take the time to say thank you for making this. As someone who enjoys doing playthroughs from time to time as almost a historical simulation, this mod helps tremendously to create historically accurate ships, and to overcome the natural desire to just put the most expensive modules in each category on every ship.

Which ones do you mean? I only wrote descriptions for the ones I added (destroyers, escorts, subs). The existing ones (battleships, carriers, cruisers) didn't have them and I didn't add them, it seemed strange to do on the work of someone else.

There seams to be some issue with the localisation fore the diffrent ships. Like for most ships there are no discriptions

Seems to be compatible with the latest BICE main update (13/09/2024). Should there be any compatibility issues arising, please post them here and I'll try to fix them.
