How To Change Your License Plate EASY 2022

How to easily customise the license plate of your truck

Intro

This has been tested in ETS2 Vers 1.46.1.0, using Cheat Engine 6.6 by Navekgamer

Also note, this may not work for everyone. I have only tested it on my system!

Edit Your Plate

* Launch ETS2, load into your profile save game and select the truck you wish to drive, then drive it. Now either save the game or let the autosave do it, then relaunch the game.

* Once you're at the main menu, select "Truck Manager" then click on the truck you are currently driving. This will tell you the current license plate. Make a note of it.


* Now open up Cheat Engine and click on the PC icon in the top left corner to open a process.


*Select Euro Truck Sim 2's .exe process and click open


* Now on the right hand side (Picture Point 1) select "Value Type: String" from the drop-down menu.
In the search box above type the current license plate that you want to change (E.G. LA11 EOK), then click 'First Scan' above.


Now select all the results listed (Picture Point 2), then click on the little red arrow (Picture Point 3) to enter them into the table below (Picture Point 4). Select all in the table (Picture Point 4) and change the values either by pressing 'Enter' or change them individually to the new license plate you want (E.G. CUSTOMLP) and click 'OK'

*NOTE*: YOU MUST OBEY THE CORRECT TEXT FORMAT AND CHARACTER LENGTH FOR THE LICENSE PLATE YOU HAVE - E.G. MINE IS UK AND 8 DIGITS IN LENGTH

Now mark all entries as "Active" by pressing either 'Space-bar' or click them individually (Picture Point 5)

* Now go back into ETS2 and return to the main menu. Now save your game (I suggest creating a new save just in case, you can save to your original once verified it has worked), or let the autosave do it and Exit the game back to LAUNCHPAD


* You may find that the game crashes, this is normal. Just relaunch the game, load your profile and you should now see that your license plate has changed. If it hasn't, try loading the latest autosave and see if that has worked.

Here you can see it has changed to 'CUSTOMLP':


Now you can save your game to any old save you wish and delete the temporary ones if you want.

Now for the final *BIG NOTICE*:

IF YOU CHANGE TRUCKS THE LICENSE PLATE WILL RESET!
THIS MAY NOT WORK FOR EVERY TRUCK ESPECIALLY MODS, I MYSELF HAVE HAD A FEW MISSED ATTEMPTS - YOU MAY HAVE TO EXPERIMENT YOURSELF!
