You will still watch your ammo and take a lot of damage.
I would say, "easy" in this game sits somewhere between "normal" and "hard" in Half Life Alyx.
Smart level design, assets are reused creatively, and resin placement is better than in HL:A.
The story is surprisingly engaging, making this feel like a real adventure instead of just stitched-together maps. It also has genuinely creative interactions that feel like they could have come from Valve itself. It’s not just “more content” - it offers fresh experiences.
The weak point is combat. Enemies constantly burst in from all directions every few steps, which quickly loses its impact. The dramatic boss music during minor encounters also feels overdone. Enemies often teleport behind you in rooms you already cleared, leading to unfair damage and breaking immersion.
Some interactions, like picking up coins, are buggy, and I fell through the intro elevator five times.
Still, the positives easily outweigh the negatives. A huge amount of creativity and work went into this. Highly recommended!

It is my first playthrough, apart from a small section of the Lab that I could test before it crashed on my old hardware. So it's pretty authentic watching me struggle with the puzzles.
Top Tier Campaign, love it!
The mod has a lot of high points but also some low points with the difficulty really ramping up to Bullet Hell levels despite Alyx not being suited for this type of gameplay. It's partly my fault for playing it on Hard but I found myself save-scumming a lot towards the end which took some of the enjoyment out of it and the mod uses Jeff a bit too much.
Ammo is also very tight for most of the mod. You have to be clever.
In spite of all this, though, I do recommend it, just play it on an easier difficulty even if you normally play Alyx on Hard.
