PhalanxBot is an aggressive-style bot that builds on top of the default Dota 2 bots. Some modes have had their desire and/or function logic completely rewritten and others remain the same. The goal is to rewrite all modes and make the bot more effective and decisive.

YOUR LOBBY SERVER LOCATION MUST BE SET TO "LOCAL HOST" FOR THIS SCRIPT TO WORK!

Lane Picking & Roles
*CURRENTLY ONLY WORKS FOR RADIANT SIDE DUE TO A BUG ON VALVE'S END* This bot picks heroes and chooses its lane respective to the slot in the lobby they are in. The formula goes as follows:
  • Slot 1 - Position 1/SafeLane Carry
  • Slot 2 - Position 2/MidLane Core
  • Slot 3 - Position 3/OffLane Core
  • Slot 4 - Position 4/Soft Support (OffLane)
  • Slot 5 - Position 5/Hard Support (SafeLane)

Credits
BOT EXPERIMENT - This bot uses its generic item purchasing, buyback/glyph/courier ID logic as well as heavy modifications from myself to suit this bot.

ExtremePush - The biggest inspiration for this bot.

A Beginner AI - Inspiration for specific bot roles buying team-based items.

A massive thanks to these bot scripts, as without them this bot wouldn't be here right now!

Based on the code and my actual experience, the bots definitely do not do this. Are you sure you selected this script for both sides in custom lobby, and set the server to localhost?

its reasonably fun bcs they have the ability to deny as well and actually commit to push the game.
i play on unfair mode bcs i wanna make sure to get the most fun and i did a bit.

For some reason, Steam client didn't update the workshop files as usual. Even though the script name was "PhalanxBot (Monster Hunter Fixes)" in custom lobby settings, I still had the old script from September. I had to click "Browse on workshop" to trigger the download.

please fix this bug，this bot script is the only reason that why i play dota currently

Can confirm bots group in base in my last 2 games, happens around level 7 for the bots.

@Balabol Previously you also subscribed to download, but you had to copy the files to use it as a local dev script . The old instructions are pinned in the forums:

Now, you don't need to copy the files, but you must still use a custom lobby with local host . The description is correct. Then select PhalanxBot for both sides in the custom lobby.

The "Play vs Bots" in main menu still does not work with custom bots. :angry_creep: You can tell immediately because the bots don't select until you do (PhalanxBot will select one by one, even if you don't select), the Valve default bot names, and also they won't chat in the pre-horn time (PhanaxBot will chat their positions and some other information).
