10s Prototype II [4.27]

Description
Please read the description before subscribing.

Background
With the dawn of one of Automation's biggest updates comes the rebirth of my first body. The first iteration of the 10s Prototype was the result of me diving into the deep end and making a pure race car body, but the outcome of these efforts was middling. Now, almost three years later, I have done my best to eliminate the flaws of the original. The overall proportions are now much more true to that of a real sports prototype car, and an improved UV map minimizes fixture tearing, among other improvements.

This body takes advantage of a number of Automation's newly implemented visual features, as well as morphs that push the Unreal Engine 4 rigging system to its limits (because of the latter, some morphs aren't perfect). There's now also a front-engined variant for more experimental builds, as well as a bunch of dedicated fixtures to expand the potential of these bodies.

Be forewarned, however, that neither this body nor most of the fixtures that come with it are beginner-friendly. Using them to their full potential requires not only a thorough understanding of Automation's car design tools, but a certain amount of patience as well.

All in all, I hope this new version of the 10s Prototype meets your expectations.

Usage Notes
  • IMPORTANT: As a result of the sheer number of morphs and the extent to which they can change certain shapes on the body, some combinations of morphs (or certain morphs used on their own) will cause parts of the body to intersect with themselves, or otherwise result in odd and/or undesirable shapes. Until a system is implemented that can limit morphs based on the positions of other morphs, there is nothing I can do to fix this outside of decreasing the movement range of the offending morphs—limiting their effectiveness—or removing them altogether.
  • The unlock year for all variants is 2009.
  • To uniformily adjust the front length, move the Nose Upper Outset, Nose Lower Outset, and Front Fender Length morphs as desired using the morph sliders.
  • The interior tub fixtures are intended to be zeroed along the X and Y axes, unless noted otherwise in the table below. This can be done by switching the fixture to 3D placement mode with global coordinates, before switching back to allow the fixture to conform properly.
  • For wings, I recommend my Modular Wing fixture pack, as it has a number of prototype-specific wing endplates and fins.
  • The door seams do not extend onto the roof as expected due to shading and morph issues that would result, so the use of the RB Seam Kit is recommended.

The chassis is going through the body. Can anyone help with this problem?

The chassis is going through the body, and when i export to BeamNG its still there. i haven't tried hiding the chassis (with the bar on the right side of the screen when you're editing the fixtures) it in the automation game yet. How to fix?

You can hide components of the car while editing the fixtures on the right sidebar.

Hi I'm new to automation and I wanted to create an hypercar shaped car, my problem is that the chassis, the engine and other components go through the bpdy of my car. Do you have any fix?

The 2 metre wheelbase is likely meant for tiny prototypes with tiny engines.
racevedoramos35 18 May @ 10:02am
The 2.0m wheelbases have a hard time fitting most engines: 95% of the time the engine pokes out of the body and turbocharged ones make it impossible to make an interior because the intercooler protrudes into the passenger space.

Are the 2.0m wheelbases supposed to be a joke?

it was, thank you
