Description
Welcome to Marxia.

An island far from the motherland, yet close to both the NATO allied country of Litopa, and the glorius Communist nation of Baraharad. Your task is to tame Marxia, and hopefully turn it into a glowing Soviet dominion.

Blessed with a magnificent landscape, we can assume Marxia boasts many natural resources, all completely untapped. Until now, no man had yet ploughed this soil, nor felled these trees, but expeditionary contractors from both the Soviet and NATO worlds have now made landfall and set up small bases (with some supplies).

Under the watchful gaze of Mount Lenin, will you harness this wilderness for the glory of the motherland... or for Uncle Sam?

***** NOTE: This is a map that itches my 'realistic mode on an island' need, until the devs bring out a way of ferrying vehicles across the water this is the only way I can do it. There are two customs houses: one in the NATO outpost 'Libertygrad'; and one in the Soviet outpost 'Stalinisburg'. Don't move them or destroy them, because you won't get them back.

So, the intention with the map is to roleplay a little (a bit like the old way of playing Cosmonaut mode), and limit yourself to only importing constuction crew and vehicles at the customs houses. All other goods to be imported / exported by sea via the harbour (don't cheat yourself). There is even a designated vehicle importer ship in Stalinisburg harbour that you could send out to the sea border and back (empty of course) every time you buy a vehicle, to simulate the sea shipment. Only when it comes back and docks in harbour could you release your purchased vehicle from the customs house. But at the start, treat yourself and purchase 6 vehicles that have already arrived on the island, and freely use the supplies that have been shipped already (and you'll probably want to use the customs house for gravel, concrete and asphalt in the early game).

Go on, make it hard on yourself. Make it realistic. ...on an island.

hi this looks like an interesting challenge. could you please link the mods you used as requirements? I'd rather not let WR:SR blindly download all that's missing without knowing before hand what those items are. thank you

Hi, I can't load the map, it says it was created with a newer version of the game. Steam says my game is up to date though.

Hello, I just check train import availability.
You can import trains by container ship to the any Cargo harbor connected with large Space for vehicles/containers (which have rail connection to export trains), from large Space for vehicles/containers you can send train to depot.
To build railway tracks you can import track builder and transport it by car to Rail Construction Office.
So it is possible to start without ground customs.
For it you need:
1. Ship depot, to by container ship and passenger ship from border.
2. Any Cargo harbor connected to Space for vehicles/containers (You can build large Space for vehicles/containers to import trains in future)
3. Initial electricity source
4. Ship passenger harbour to get foreign workers to your young republic.
5. Only problem that I found it is cement import by ships (it can be fixed by mods.) So we ned mods for building cement plant and concrete mixer without concrete.

I just tried it and yes, you can buy cars, send a boat to pick them up, and they will bring the cars back.
