Note that skip files won't break an existing save, as any building or network that's used in a save will be used and not skipped.
Typically the Snowfall assets will have "winter" in their name, but some don't; it's best to go through the "winter" building/prop lists on the website and select the items that you want skipped, using the site to generate the skip file for you.
Do you get the issue if you disable all custom assets?
