The reason the ballistic mask isn't included is because well, none of the other masks or equipment of similar capacity are not included.
as someone who owned and wore a lvl3a vest as a security guard(fortunately never needed for its intended use), it was kevlar, light (5-8pds) and was rated to stop any handgun round and light/low caliber rifle rounds or pistol rounds from rifle-like setups (mp5,etc)
Wouldn't have saved me from the typical .223 mass shooter without the plate insert though.
the gas mask providing more armor than ballistic mask
nvg being able to actually tank a shot
heavy armor not being heavy and providing nothing most of the time
the only thing the guide provides is the general idea, with the explanation that you can think of yourself just from the name of things.. wow, heavy armor is- heavy, it slows you down and offers more protection, just from the name of it.
while there was no actual trying out, no actual testing, it's just average information worth nothing.

Some examples:
- Ceramic armor blocks 100% of damage from bullets, but only until the ceramic plate breaks. Steel armor blocks 75% of damage, but steel plates take so long to break that you'll be dead before then. After 100+ hours in the game, I've never had a ceramic plate break so it's better to just use those instead of steel. You'll live longer.
- C2 explosives can kill or knock out anyone too close to the other side of the door.
- Flashbangs and stingers both work identically against AI. They both stun for the same duration, obstacles dont matter, and looking away doesnt matter.
- Flashbang/stinger effects last for 8 seconds, CS lasts for 22 seconds.
- No mention of tazers
- No mention of ballistic mask
The guide is completely outdated by now, since all of the info that this guide gives is explained in-game as well. Please update the guide or just delete it.
And if it were, then why even have steel as an option?
