For the Family Portrait ending I did follow your guide and it worked just fine. So to recap, just make sure you choose "New Game" each time and you could probably follow any number of guides and it would work. Your guide is nice and precise and easy to use for speedrunning, so it gets my recommendation.
I actually followed this video guide here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ld5nrgmffk&t=3213s for the Self-portrait ending because someone swore if you followed along exactly it worked, and it did. The gist of it is I collected every single whispering item and avoided any encounter with the wife or child. Interestingly it contains quite a few contradictions to your own guide, yet I'm sure yours would've also worked just as well. To be honest I wouldn't even recommend that video guide since it seems outdated, since a few parts are in a different order plus it says you have to quit to menu at a couple specific points and reload, but I'm sure they've patched it since then. Really I think as long as you collect enough whispering items (doesn't matter which), avoid the wife and child, and don't push the wheelchair near the end then it should work.
