Winning sigils in Maycee's Mod
The rule changes introduced in Kaycee's Mod allow for inheritance of sigils when a parent card drops an offspring card. This opens up a bunch of options to exploit for winning.

If you are just looking for a way to avoid losing a key battle, you might try starting with my "How to escape any battle without losing" guide. And seriously check out my guide "You know you've been playing Inscryption too much when..."

Whenever you get a choice of new cards, select the cockroach for its unkillable sigil. There are several great sigils to be farmed that will help you win, but the cockroach's unkillable sigil is by far the best.

If you play the egg deck (see my other guide) you get eggs with a one bone casting cost. If you put an unkillable sigil onto an egg, when the egg dies it gives up a bone. The egg returns to your hand. You can use the bone to cast the egg again and again. You not only have an eternally-renewing roadblock, but also endless sacrifices.

The Warren with its make-a-bunny sigil is underappreciated as a vehicle for receiving other sigils. With the new inheritance rules of sigils when a parent card drops an offspring card, the dropped card inherits the added sigils of the parent card. This doesn't work with the natural sigils on the parent card, but only with any added sigils (sacrifice stones, painter). So a Warren with any good sigil (see below) will drop a bunny with that same sigil to your hand. Think about the infinite recursion that's possible when an unkillable Warren drops an unkillable bunny (isn't there a Law of Thermodynamics against that? EDIT: it's the Law of Conservation of Matter and Energy, see comments). When your Warren dies, it returns to your hand and you can sac the unkillable bunny (which returns to your hand)...and you get ANOTHER unkillable bunny into your hand! Repeat a few times and you have all four lanes blocked with unkillable roadblocks.

An interesting use of these unkillable make-a-card cards is to load up your hand and then play the Hand Tentacle card (HT to Sir Synyster for this idea, see comments!)

Another good one for the unkillable sigil is the skink. Spend one blood to cast it opposite another creature, maybe it does a little damage, then when it is attacked it dodges to the right and drops a tail (with an unkillable sigil on it). You now have a zero-cost road block that can be sacrificed again and again - this is why you want the skink to be attacked (think "fork bomb" in Linux). Sac the skink to return it to your hand at the first opportunity, sac the original tail to pay the casting cost on the skink (tail returns to your hand). And the skink is back on the board with its tail re-grown. And you now have one unkillable dropped tail in your hand. Count 'em, ONE TAIL! BWA-HA-HA-HA! When the skink gets hit again, you have two unkillable tails now. Count 'em, TWO TAILS! BWA-HA-HA-HA! ("Was that thunder I just heard?").

The hive is yet another good one but with a twist that the offspring cards are unkillable 1/1 flyers. Downside is that you need to get this and the skink attacked in order to "start the motor".

If you can manage it (I never have), throw an unkillable on one skink, a blocks-flyers on another skink, then give them to the Mycologists to merge! (think about it...)

Other good sigils to use with this inheritance exploit are the fecundity and magpie's eye sigils "more bang for the buck". Fecundity is good for the egg deck, too, and the nice thing is that you can get two eggs on the board at once. Magpie's eye is handy to have, too, for pulling out powerful card(s) when needed and can help the eggs be useful in the early parts of your game. The pack rat sigil is another good one for the skink -- you could end up with two items from just one card.

You should always be careful about two sigils negatively interacting. Once I picked up a beaver that had a waterborne sigil. Think real close on what happens when I cast the beaver... Some sigils are just opposites. Annoying + Stinky cancel each other out, I did that once for the "annoying" challenge. Another time I just sacked one of my annoying cards to put the sigil onto a pelt (which I then traded out of my hand for a useful card).

If you try the G.O.A.T deck, try putting an unkillable sigil on the goat and then stocking up on 3-blood heavyweights. Worst case is you have a goat that is a renewing roadblock for the cost of one blood. If you can game the fairdraw function (or whatever it's officially called), you might be able to have that goat in your opening draw more often than not (and have some knuckle-draggers that cost three blood with it).

Magpie with an unkillable sigil is ok (get a card every time you play it), but a better one is a beaver with the magpie sigil! The magpie eye sigil will transferr not only to the Beaver but also to each of the dams. Play the beaver and get three f***ing cards from your deck. As a bonus, the beaver dams (and the beaver) also now have the flying sigil. Buff the beaver at least once with an attack bonus (buffs carry over to the dams so that they now have an attack value) and you get an instant carrier alpha strike (google it ;-) of three flyers.

If you can manage to get the beaver sigil and the growth sigil on the same card, the result is amusing. I won't spoil the fun, (OK, maybe I will...) but if you want a hint, read below:

When the dam cards grow, they don't become "Elder Dams" but rather something far more terrifying...

(This is from a battle with the same deck, mouse over this black square to see a surprise ->

Finally if you need a break from it all (this is just a game and supposed to be fun, right?) check out my "You know you're playing Inscryption too much when..." guide.

На самом деле знак бессмертия повышает шанс на выигрыш, но не гарантирует. для меня лучшая карта это кукушка. Если будет выбор между бессмертным тараканом или кукушкой, то возьму кукушку.

I'll never forget my first Kaycee's mod run in which I had a campfire-upgraded wolf (something like 5 attack and 7 hp) with corpse eater and fecundity. My deck was also filled with hives. That was bonkers.

Of course, the run ended when I drew the wolf a little too late.

if you can get 2 unkillable morsels that cost 1 blood each (totems will help) you can get them to infinitely stack onto eachother. had a run close to this, but sadly one was just a mealworm, which costs bones, so it only stacked as high as how many other sacrifices i had, but 2 morsels can get you far

I hand't even considered the Hand Tentacle for that, Sir Synyster. Good one! :stimulation::p03:
