How to get good gear quick in rosewood

A guide on how to get some good gear right at the start of the game

Step 1. Find the rosewood fire department and the rosewood police department

The fire department and the police department are in the top left corner of rosewood

Step 2. Loot the fire department

Enter the building using the bottom right window

The two rooms you should be interested in are: the storage room (You will usually find a fire axe in there)
And medical (You will find some bandages and a bottle of disinfectant in there)
You can also go upstairs and find the locker room (there's always gonna be a pair of military boots and some fire fighter clothes in the lockers)

Step 3. Loot the police department

You will want to find the armory and break the two doors between you and it with your new fire axe

Once you're in you are guaranteed to find atleast 1 gun and some ammo

You should also go to the two locker rooms, you won't need to break any doors to get to them (You will usually find a police duffle bag in one of the lockers)

Step 4. Loot rosewood medical

Rosewood medical is to the right of the rosewood police department, in rosewood medical you will find a lot of essential medical supplies: Bandages, alcohol wipes, painkillers, Etc.

Step 5. Profit

Now you have more of fighting chance in the wasteland. Good luck!

Tip for Police Department: kill zombies inside to get a key or lure zombies inside.
Key generation depends on where the zombies are at the moment of kill, which means outside zombies can generate a key if they were lured inside a building.
The key will allow you to easily open 2 secured doors.

Exact same strat. The Firehouse is loaded with good clothes, weapons, some medical, food, and even a sleeping area. It's a great start.

I have used this method for a while and it gives you a very strong head start! But I also recommend checking out the book store and school for books. And if you want to level up your shooting after getting those guns form the police store you should go to the prison (though be warned the Jail has lots of zeds.)
