The Definitive Guide on How to Play Burger Patrol

Intro

The goal of Burger Patrol is to help Captain Tyson get back home by harvesting FUEL in order to power his ship. Fuel is formed by harvesting ingredients floating in space, and creating various types of BURGERS and FOOD matches. Each round played will help power Captain Tyson's journey home.

Controls

Tile pairs will drop into play from the top of the Game Board.

Left Arrow or A - Move Tile Pair left
Right Arrow or D - Move Tile Pair right
Up Arrow or W - Swap Tile pair orientation
Down Arrow or S - Quick Drop a tile into place.

Swapping Tile Orientation note:

Tiles can be flipped but not rotated. A HORIZONTAL pair of tiles can be flipped left to right, and a VERTICAL pair of tiles can be flipped top to bottom.

If one edge of a HORIZONTAL tile pair touches another tile already on the board, it will lock into place. The remaining tile will split off and continue to fall.

Burger Recipes

STEP 1: Place 2 BREAD Tiles beside each other to form a BUN.


STEP 2: Place ANY PAIR of FOOD: Meat, Lettuce, Cheese, Tomato, Bacon, or Egg.



STEP 3: Place 2 BREAD Tiles on top to complete the BURGER.




When you form a BURGER, all other tiles on the GAME BOARD that are the same as the Ingredient used for the BURGER will also be crushed for points!





You can form a SUPER BURGER by placing an additional PAIR of INGREDIENTS on top of your initial BURGER base.





BURGERS and SUPER BURGERS are the key to a high score in Burger Patrol, and they help manage your GAME BOARD.

Food Match Patterns

MATCH 3 - Vertical or Horizontal of any of the 6 FOOD tiles.
Examples:







MATCH 4 - Vertical or Horizontal of any of the 6 FOOD tiles.
Examples:







FOOD CUBE - A 2x2 tile of any of the 6 FOOD tiles.
Example:



BREAD STICK - 4 Vertical or Horizontal BREAD tiles.
Examples:







FOOD VORTEX - One FOOD TILE surrounded completely by BREAD tiles.

Bonus Fuel Orders

You can fill the BONUS FUEL meter by making matches of the FOOD type shown. Complete BONUS FUEL orders be filling the meter. Gain extra points for every BONUS FUEL order made.

Power Up Blocks

These helpful tiles can be used to manage the GAME BOARD and help carve out space to create BURGERS.


BURGER BOMB - Will clear one HORIZONTAL or one VERTICAL line depending on which configuration is chosen.


MYSTERY SPICE - Will randomly change the INGREDIENT type of all tiles on the board of the same type you place this on.


DIGESTER - Will clear all tiles of the same type of INGREDIENT as the tile you place this on.


FOOD SLAMMER - Will clear the tile it lands on, or two tiles if quick dropped.


FOOD SWAPPER - This will flip the INGREDIENTS from top to bottom of the column it lands on.


LINE BLASTER - This will convert all tiles in the column to the same type of INGREDIENT you land on.

Tips and Tricks

- Always try to complete Bonus Fuel Orders.
- Try to make BURGERS with the same Food Tile that has the most of that type on the board.
- You can combine matches for more points: A Food Cube with a Match 3 vertical, or Two Match 4's for making 5 tiles of the same type in a row.
- Effective use of Power Up Blocks is key to managing the Game Board and preventing Food overflow!
- Explore the various filters to find one you like.
- The dog on the Options menu can be pet.
