Key strategic elements to consider when playing Riki:

Use Blink Strike to secure ranged creep last hits.
When in trouble, Blink away, Tricks of the Trade over a cliff or in tree lines, or Smoke Screen and Town Portal Scroll out.
Check opponents` inventories frequently for detection.
Avoid passing by spots where the enemy team might typically have a Sentry Ward, such as rune or pillar spots.
Prioritize dealing with backliners and supports as Riki is great at gap-closing.
Take your time to farm the Diffusal Blade which will significantly improve your pick-off potential.
Pick up Aghanim`s Shard around minute 15 to isolate enemy heroes stuck in Smoke from getting help.
