Mafia 1 : Must Do or Don'ts

- Do not whip out your guns in front of police
- Do not fire gun shots unless necessary
- Try not to kill civilians
- Do not drive above the speed limit (should be 60Kmh)
- Do not kill police or civilians with your car
- Do not cause car crashes
- Do not speed (above 60Kmh & 120Kmh)
- Do not run from police when you have the "fine" icon

You'll save your ass off a lot of trouble believe me :)))))))))))))))

In some missions, you do have to drive above the speed limit. (Just so you can keep up with a chase or reach a destination in time) Two things to worry about speeding is turning and cops. Be sure to slow down for both of them.

Also killing cops with vehicles is the most efficient way to not give yourself a useless wanted level.

Nah nah nah nah, you see a copper strolling on the side of the road you run him over, you get chased by a patrol car you ignore and then gun them down close to wherever you were headed, now that's how you save yourself a headache, very cathartic as well.

true, in GTA you kill cops and more appear, but in Mafia they stay dead if you get them straight away (wanted level cleared )
