The Elenian Legacy

Hello everyone! This is an early demo version of The Elenian Legacy. Currently, there's about 40-60 minutes of gameplay available, including cinematics, free exploration of a moderate-sized town (with several hidden things to find for the observant!) and 2 dungeon areas (one with a final boss). It isn't by any means finished, but the rest of the first chapter will be primarily cinematic, so I figured I'd put up the meat of it for gameplay feedback (and, of course, feedback on anything else!).

I've tested it myself, and it isn't especially buggy. I believe I've gotten rid of all of the game-breaking ones, although perhaps you'll prove me wrong. If you find any visual bugs or textual bugs, let me know, and I'll change and resubmit.

I'll be actively working on this game throughout June, as I intend to submit this first chapter in its entirety to RPGmaker's contest this month. After that, I'll work on it more if I'm still enjoying it, and if people are interested in seeing more of it. The plot is developed in my mind, and I have the next several chapters and locations planned; it's just a question of putting it all together with the little details.


To be added imminently:

- an ending to the chapter: This will involve setting up a journey to the temple, which you can sort of visit now, and getting ready to head out into the overworld for the first time. You'll also get to pick your 3rd party member - Kyra or someone else who you've not yet met. (next)
- Woodcutter's Guild sidequest/ building interior
- more interactables! - cabinents, bookshelves, whatever; there will be more things to touch and interact with, to various effects.
- people! The inn is too empty. All those people in the Mayor's meeting? They need to go somewhere, and they will.
- polishing and bugfixing
