Description
This mod adds the Sámi Civilization to the game, available for anyone with Brave New World.

Siida Culture:
Founding cities reveals all tiles within its working radius. Cities founded on or adjacent to Snow or Tundra receive additional Food on those tiles and claim all unclaimed resource tiles within its working radius.

Boazovázzi:
The Boazovázzi is the Sámi unique unit replacing the Scout. Though the Boazovázzi is a ranged unit and is weaker than the scout, it can herd resources, temporarily removing them from the game in return for return for Food and Production, making this unit extremely useful for growing your cities.

Sieidi:
The Sieidi is the Sámi unique building, replacing the Temple. Rather than providing yields directly to the city, when built the Sieidi will reveal up to three Sieidi Improvements, each providing 2 Culture and Faith, that can be worked by the city.

This mod is naturally compatible with YnAEMP, Tomatekh's Historical Religions Mod and the Events & Decisions Mod.

IDK if you'll see this or update this, but is there a start bias for this civ? I've started like 4 or 5 times now and have not been placed in or near tundra. Im on a huge earth map with 11 other civs, 1 of which has a tundra start bias.

Love the mod, but for some reason I don't gain happiness from Luxuries when I play as them. Any idea what could be causing this? I assume it's some kind of mod conflict.

I'm Sámi and I love this. Been looking for something like this and was actually considering trying to make my own if I didn't find one already.

If you play these people on the Antarctica map, you'll completely dominate.

Been playing v. 2. Thanks for the update. This version still crashes but much less. If it will help you debug, my setup is: Windows 7, AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core, 3.60 GHz, 8 GB installed RAM, 64-bit, DirectX 11. Installed mods are this one, Events and Decisions, and Historical Religions Complete v. 30. Most crashes happen at the end of a turn, often while processing the turn for the Barbarians. I hope this helps. Thanks for creating a fantastic mod.

@TheLionGamer By being able to type in Finnekonge in google, and clicking on a link, I managed to find this "Norse sources from the 12th century and onwards, such as Heimskringla and Volundarkvida, talk about finnekonger ("Sámi kings"), which in contemporary history writing are interpreted as particularly wealthy Sámi, who were perhaps also chieftains. Archeological findings do indeed confirm that a certain degree of class society arose among the Sámi, due to the fur trade, in the early Middle Ages. Little is known about the formal status of the "finnekonger", however. The name is in any case misleading, as nobility has never been a part of Sámi culture." in about 30 seconds.

Also, Finnmark is a county in Norway - Finnekonge ---> Finnmark. Not neccesarily Finland, now is it ;)
