Two Way Lich: Nuke/Support, 6.84
By Hypernutsch
My builds are especially for beginners.

Yes, mostly Lich is played as support and nicely so. But sometimes, it is good to unleash his nuking abilities. This build shows how. Only go nuke-way if you do have at least two other supports in your team (like Dazzle, Chen or Witch Doctor). Otherwise, do the support build.

Core build for Support is tough, do not worry if you don't get it all. Don't steal kills from your carry hero!

Have fun!

@DeathByDiarrhea: True. If I find the space to write the thing with the ice armour down, I'll do. The text restrictions for builds are a bit hard. I will change the ability build a bit in favour to sacrifice.

@Kajanator: Yes, it is, but builds are more guidelines than acutally "you have to get all of that otherwise you suck". This is the optimum of items you can get. If you don't, well no harm done. Ppl should at least learn the definition of Support and Nuke, before they go and steal kills from their Carries.

I would say max sacrifice over Frost Blast, because you really rack up more damage using the skill more instead running out of mana. Even though you have sacrifice if you want to spam Frost Blast you run out of mana quite quickly because the cooldown of Sacrifice is quite long at level 1. And I would say situationally get ice armor before level 6, because sometimes you really need the extra damage and mana to dominate your opponents in lane.

this is a lot of farm for a support. usually too much you can farm without taking your carrys farm.

Haha, I do leave haters alone. Thought my last longer comment showed that. ^^ I just appreciate comments that help improving the build. I'll ignore the rest. :)

You really shouldnt care that much about our opinions since your guide is perfect for most situations.Just leave haters alone they'll do their job anyway.

Changed that just now. Guess the changes do not show up yet. But thank you anyways. :-)

Pretty good guide but you can also take ice armor in early game when enemy team has a lot of right clickers or simply if you're gettin "rekt".Its still an option. But pretty good guide anyway.

Thank you! It warms my heart to see that there are still decent people out there who take ambitions of others serious, take their time to leave critizism that helps a ton and thus improve a community, if it is only through improving a build. You rock!

I will do the changes right ahead, since I strongly agree with what you said.

But you see - I would not have thought of this options. Two minds working on a build (meaning my husband and me who are doing the builds; he has much experience to give since he did play Dota 1 ;-)) cannot always think of all the things that have changed (since we did not have the time to read all changelogs and earlier on warding was not that important).

I applaude your handling of haters :P

Since you really do want other opinions, I'll throw mine in the ring.
I find Lich is extremely good in lane when paired with a carry that has strong early damage and a stun/slow. Since his nuke is so strong early, Blast>Stun/Slow>Right Clicks can usually result in a kill. He's also strong in a defensive lane when you take his armour early. I personally always take his armour before 6.
For items, a solid team won't have an urn and a mek on the same hero, (if they die, all regen goes with them) so I would remove the urn. I would make drums situational, meant for when you're sturggling. Last thing is I would add mana boots to the situational items. Sometimes you have mana-hungry carries, or a good Q/W invoker on the other team.
Tweaking the core items this way will leave you at least 1 open slot for a TP scroll.

And to those who read the whole thing and scoffed, I don't claim to be more than average. I'm plateau'd at 2800 MMR right now..
