Saph's Sinnoh

Description
  • Sinnoh, formerly known as Hisui, is a region in the Pokemon world and the setting of the Generation IV games Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum.
  • This is a mountainous terrain, with the land of the main island divided into two halves by a massive mountain range.
  • This map is created by a fan of both the Civilization and Pokemon series to celebrate the release of the Gen 4 remakes Pokemon Brillian Diamond & Shining Pearl. (No, I haven't been paid to do this XD)
  • There are some Easter eggs on the map for you PokeFans! See if you can find'em all!
  • Even though they are not shown in the images above, rivers (along with floodplains, lowlands and resources) are map-generated, so every new game you start will be different.

Map size: 86 x 80 (Huge)

Required Mod: Gedemon's Yet (not) Another Maps Pack

Recommended Mods:
  • Religion Expanded: This adds enough beliefs to vanilla's 20 so that you won't get locked if you are playing with more than 20 civs but haven't chosen a belief.
  • Tomatekh's Historical Religions: This allows a maximum of 16 religions (instead of 12) when you have Gathering Storm.
  • Prismatic - Color and Jersey Overhaul: This adds enough jersey colors so that you can play with more than 20 civs in one game. Otherwise some civs will get transparent colors.

Game Set-up
To play with advanced YnAMP settings (as seen in the screenshots), you need to
  1. Have this mod and Yet (not) Another Map Pack installed and enabled ingame
  2. Single Player --> Create Game --> Load Database (next to the BACK button) and wait for the game to load
  3. Once loaded, you will be back to the main menu
  4. Single Player --> Create Game (You should see a tick next to CREATE GAME at the top.) --> Choose Map Type --> Saph's Sinnoh --> Advanced Setup

Recommended Settings
  1. Only Civilizations/CityStates with TSL: Off, so you can play with custom civs.
  2. Adjust the number of civs, city states & religions in the game to your liking.
  3. Manually pick the civs to play as/against or leave them random.
  4. Rivers Placement: Choose Map Generator as there are no pre-placed rivers on this map. Or you could choose Empty if you hate rivers for some reason.
  5. Features Placement: Choose Import for the true Sinnoh experience. Choosing Map Generator would randomise the features (i.e. woods, rainforests, marshes and reefs)
  6. Coastal Lowland: Choose Map Generator for random placement / Matching flatlands for more dramatic flooding / Empty for no lowlands
  7. Rivers Flooding: Choose Map Generator / Empty for no floodplains & flooding (and hence no dams)
  8. Resource Quantity: Your own preference (Resources are map-generated; this map does not contain pre-placed resources.)
  9. Civilization Placement: Choose True Starting Locations to have civs start at important locations in Sinnoh. Map Generator for random placement.
  10. Enforce TSL: Off is fine. Choose A.I. if you do not want the A.I. to stray from their TSLs.
  11. Use Leaders TSL when available & Use Alternate TSL if required and available: On if you have chosen True Starting Locations for Civilization Placement
  12. Allow random placement for civs without TSL: On, if you want all selected civs to appear in game.
  13. Real City Naming: ON, if you are a true PokeFan!
  14. Turn on No Duplicate Civilizations & No Duplicate Leaders

Hi, is real city naming only available for the starting cities/locations? If so, it's too boring... :(
you can put more names on the map to provide full pokemon immersion.

You should make a list of which leader is placed where. I started in Snowpoint, Canalave, and the Survival Area, and saw an AI in Hearthome. Are there any spawn points for City States with TSL?

@feewet: Don't worry. There ARE rivers; they are map-generated, so every new game will have different rivers.
