Or set Scanline Sync to a value close to your monitor’s refresh (or appropriate for your setup). In my case, it’s a 1080p monitor, so I set it to -30. I used this option and the screen tearing was no longer noticeable.
5)- Go to "C/User/Username/Saved Games/Metro Exodus and go to the final folder where you find the config file "user". In that file search for the line "r_enum_ssaa 10" and change it to "r_enum_ssaa 1"
I used the following setup to get a more stable game without screen tearing. My hardware is old: an Intel Core i7 7700 and a GTX 1060 6GB GPU, with all drives being SSDs (2.5" SATA III SSD).
I went to: https://github.com/Digger1955/dxvk-gplasync-lowlatency
And downloaded this version:
Dxvk-Gplasync_Vulcan-OpenGL\DXVK-GPLALL-MSVC-Windows-SSE4.2-O2-LTCG-INTEL64.2.6.5-1
I switched the game to DX11, exited the game, and then copied the three files below to the game’s root folder:
d3d11.dll
dxgi.dll
dxvk.conf
In the dxvk.conf file, I only uncommented the options below:
dxvk.enableAsync = True
dxvk.gplAsyncCache = True
dxvk.framePace = "low-latency"
dxvk.lowLatencyOffset = 0
dxgi.maxFrameRate = 0
Specs:
13700K
4080 Super
32GB DDR4 4000MT/s
Step one and Step eight are the ones that helped me go from 42 fps to 120 fps, 4k HDR Maxed everything on a 12900k/3090ti setup. Appreciate the assist.
Keep on keeping on.
