Kickstarter Funded!
Linux & Mac Stretch Stretch Goals
The core of Together is interdependence. Everything requires two players, working together. Designing co-op from the ground up we are able to explore and do things that would otherwise be impossible.

Every aspect of the game is designed for player interaction. To progress you have to think about what is best for each other, not just yourself. Together highlights the benefits that gaming can have on a relationship. It goes beyond having a conversation or doing something together. Interdependence is a key quality in a rewarding and successful relationship and Together allows you to experience and practice it in a tangible way.

You will both be able to play using the same keyboard. Controllers and mouse will be supported as well.

We successfully completed a kickstarter campaign to fund the nice to have things like extra animations and art for the game. There were stretch goals we didn't reach including Linux & Mac support. We are relatively close to reaching them and we will continue to take pre-orders through our website which will count towards the stretch goals.

For more details and art from the game you can check out our completed kickstarter campaign at

Very cool. I just read that Saladin Ahmed has been brought in as lead writer for this game. He's a great author - "Throne of the Crescent Moon" is a fantastic novel.

Wow looks absolutely great. Will buy it as soon as it hits steam. Hopefully you reconsider adding online coop, since local isn't an option for me. Looking forward to it. Best of luck!

@Erilis That is a good thought. Thanks for the question! You are the first one to bring it up, and it is something I have thought about while developing the game. To some extent you are dependent on each other for progressing in the game. But solving the puzzles requires you each to are acting independently to accomplish a common goal. For that kind of progress you can't use the other player as a crutch or be dependent on them to help you do your job.

Each of you has to do your jobs and rely on one another. Both of you are integral to the experience and progression. The difference is that it isn't exploitative of each other and your purpose or life isn't tied to the other person. So it is interdependence rather than dependence for the parts of the game that matter.

Maybe i'll do a better long form answer of this question sometime in the future.

If you can't do anything on your own in this game, isn't that technically dependence?
