Iztek is my (Zarge) first DayZ map. I started playing DayZ on console and moved over too PC in Feb 2021. Got into map making in April and Iztek was my first and so far only project. I will never say it's perfect because it's not. I do however cherish my little baby very highly. I've learned everything with map making/modding for DayZ along the way of making Iztek.

Iztek is a 30km2 40km2 DayZ map which is based on the terrain of the Seskaro Island in the Baltic Sea, Iztek is a fictional map with influences of Russia/Soviet. With a lush southern part Iztek has a constantly changing terrain environment where the environment changes on the go. All this is most likely due to what is believed to have come from the "down under" where experiments on the nature and natural phenomenons has been occuring since the Soviet takeover of the Baltic island in the early-mid 1970s. In the early 2000s, the US ,under an agreement between NATO and the Russian government, were allowed to send over troops and scientists to investigate what actually was going on on the Island. Since the testing/experiments that the Russians had been conducting was effecting the environment in the in the northern regions of nearby countries Sweden & Finland aswell as Iztek itself. Looking at satellite images from the 90s, you can clearly see that the Island was first of all not split in half, this is thought to be a result of so called "artificial" works from experimenting with the Islands nature.
