INTEL PACKET - OPERATION CHISEL ROCK
Date & Time: Nov. 3, 2018 - 1730hrs
Target Location: luxury hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Enemy Personnel: High number of enemy combatants in the area, possible heavy weapons.
Civilian Presence: 1x high-ranking British military officer. Possible non-combatant presence on target.
Friendly Personnel: 4x four-man fireteams from D Co., 1st Bn., 5th SFG (Ghost Recon), 1x two-man protective detail from the Royal Military Police Close Protection Unit

Good work in Badakhshan Province, gents. The HVT you took into custody was less than co-operative for a few days, but the CIA "helped" him to see the wisdom in sharing his knowledge with us. He shared information with us regarding an arms deal that was due to be conducted in a luxury hotel in Dubai. So for now, we're out of Afghanistan. We've gotten the assistance of the UAE's government; they had a small surveillance detail keep a close eye on the place for us, and they helped us confirm that the deal was indeed taking place here. For the past 36 hours, we've had a number of POIs enter the hotel. In addition to that, we've seen certain deliveries to the hotel consisting of large cases, possibly weapons crates.

Up until three hours ago, the situation remained normal. However, a high-ranking British general entered the hotel with a two-man close protection detail. Unfortunately, the people involved in the arms deal thought they were there to try and stop them, so they attacked the British delegation. The protection detail managed to get the general to his hotel room, where they are believed to still be holed up. The rescue of the British general and his protection detail is one of your primary objectives. We're currently trying to establish contact with the Brits via the hotel's phone lines, but so far, we haven't had much luck.

Your other objective is to defuse a bomb which has been armed inside the hotel. A guest of the hotel reported a number of armed men storming into their room, setting up a large explosive device and forcing them out. The guest told us their room was on the northeast corner of the ground floor, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find. Getting there may be another story entirely. It is unknown when this device is set to go off, so you'll need to expedite your assault, and make that device your top priority. We can't have an explosion in the middle of downtown Dubai, so bring your bomb kits.

Regarding the arms deal originally scheduled to take place; the deal itself wasn't set to go down until tomorrow, so there aren't any targets on site that are important enough to arrest and interrogate. As such, any threat on site is to be eliminated swiftly, with extreme prejudice. However, this doesn't mean that the enemy hasn't already prepared for the deal. As stated before, the large influx of persons of interest converging on the hotel, combined with the increase in large-scale deliveries, means that any hostiles are likely to be well-armed and more than willing to try out their new toys on you. Be prepared for a fight.

In summary, your objectives are as thus; find the bomb and disarm it, rescue the British general and his team, and eliminate all hostiles in the building. This is going to be a difficult job; remember, slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
