Description
WIP

This adds a player home, in the form of a longboat, to the lake behind Riften. The boat is moored to the end of the previoiusly-ruined pier, and is follower-accessible. I did, however, restrict the navmesh in the player's room, so followers couldn't trash the place. They can get around the ship and use the crew rooms, but they can't get into your alchemy/enchanting area.

The interior was made from scratch, so bear with me if you spot something that doesn't quite match up. I couldn't find an interior of the longboats. It has a mini forge and workshop in the bow, with anvil, bench, wheel, tanning rack, a bunch of no-respawn storage, and an enchanted blacksmith's apron to get you started. There are a few ingots, of which only the iron and steel respawn.

Amidships, there are some weapons racks, as well as shelves full of crew armor. This armor can be taken, but should not fall apart when you enter the space or bump into it. Good luck getting it back up there, though. On top of the shelf is a staff of fireballs. Behind the steps, there are a few sacks and a barrel, and the crew rooms (follower) are on either side of them. The doors open outward because of the small space.

At the stern is the master's quarters, with an alchemy and enchanting station and more secure storage. There is a low level alchemy enchantment there, and a couple of respawning soul gems. The shelf decor, again, is set to stay in place, but can be taken. Some of the decor respawns, while some does not. There are two weapon racks and a shield plaque, as well as more storage.

The really awesome Sovngarde music plays when below decks...because I love it.

All containers on the ship have been marked no respawn, but the loose food does, as do some of the clothes.

Topside, there is some more respawning food and a makeshift grill, with a usable cookpot. Most of what's up there is static, but the chairs are usable, and there is a static dwarven ballista. I don't have an earthly clue how to make that thing work, so it's just for looks.

Update* The bed now gives a well rested bonus. It doesn't display a message, but it does show up in active effects. The brazier in the bow now contains a portable smelter. The animation doesn't fit the confined space 100%, but it's pretty close. The two shelves of loose armor have now become the ship's armory, and can function like any other container. It does not respawn, and the items displayed on the shelves are now found inside.

Update 5/17/2014* I added a practice dummy to the mast, and a small dinghy with an archery target on the lake. Added a map marker so you can discover it and fast travel right to it. You'll appear on the dock, at the foot of the gang plank.

Update 6/10/2014* Replaced a missing dock, at the rear of Honeyside and cleaned with TESVedit v 3.0.31

Folks, I apologize for the delay. As usual, steam has decided I don't need to see message notifications.

Tatch, the mod is House + date, I think may something. Like HouseMay14 or something along those lines. As for why it's crashing Riften, I'm at a loss. Are you running another mod in the same area of Riften?

Cat, he shouldn't have any problem going in with you. I tested it with a unique follower mod, and she came right on in with me. I hope it works well for you.

I'm about to grab the cool modded follower Inigo in the Riften jail - the quick travel marker is a nice touch. I hope Inigo can join me on my boat house. Looks pretty cool - wil be checking it out tonight - thanks for creating it!

This mod is crashing Riften for me, whats the name of the .esp so i can delete it?

Yeah, and always, and I mean always GO for the ebeony blade, ane enemy is too tough? ebony blade, all the way. B ewarned you should make a save before unlocking THE DOOR.

sggagh, I never thought about that. I was just going for something unusual, but I'm glad to hear it serves a good purpose too. I like the training-by-bounty idea. Might have to try that fugitive thing sometime.

also am I the only one who keeps my bounty excessively high in riften just to give myself an edge and farm my conjuration, restoration, destruction, onehanded and twohanded? I mean riften is a place of corruption, so it'd make sense if you're in the thieves guild for the gurards to hat your guts.

this is perfect for those who can't buy a household in riften, I.E. the jarls quest doesn't activate, the thieves guild quest breaks.
