Spectraverse - Magic of the Magna-Ge

Spectraverse features a questline with several voiced characters revolving around the Children of Magnus. Your reward for intervening in the war in heaven is a choice of 42 unique Destruction spells with scripted effects.

REQUIRES: Dawnguard (or Skyrim Legendary Edition)


· 42 all new Destruction spells using custom graphics and sounds.
· High skill cap, rewarding player skill.
· Questline based on expanded TES lore.
· 5 voiced main characters.
· 6 epic locations.
· 6 quests.
· Configuration options available in the Spectraverse MCM if SkyUI is installed (SkyUI not required to use Spectraverse).


How to start the quest

Make sure you are in the wilderness of Skyrim and at least character level 3. Soon after you will have a fateful encounter with a crazy Khajiit... The spells become available at a certain NPC past a certain point in the quest.

Why we fight

The Breaking has come to Nirn! Support the efforts of Ilmaasi, tenebrous fragment of the shattered Mnumbrial of the Y Sign who has certain plans with Nirn, or join up with Astetu, luminous child of Scintil of the Blend Sign to stop Ilmaasi. Your choice will shape the future of Nirn!


Past a certain point, your actions may have consequences. Slaying enemy Sparks, agreeing or disagreeing with a Magna-Ge and absorbing Skyshards grants alignment points, which can be tracked using a handy ability.

Boss battles

Defeating a Magna-Ge may prove to be a challenge. They possess a variety of unique abilities, including special one shot abilities when their Health is sufficiently reduced. Beware.


You may receive various miniquests during your adventures. Run between magical stones as fast as you can, toss an enemy for 30 seconds with levitation spells or destroy wayward Sparks using a sacred idol's eye beams.


Progressing through the questline and levelling up Destruction grants access to many unique and powerful spells. Defeating a Magna-Ge in combat rewards you with a spectacular and devastating power!

The quest doesn't start!
The quest is started by an NPC who tracks you down when you are level 3 or up and are in the wilderness of Skyrim.

An NPC is supposed to come to me but he doesn't appear!
Much like the vanilla Dragonborn assassins or Hearthfire courier, the NPC will eventually reach you when you hang around in one place long enough for him to catch up, but it can take a while if you move around a lot. If you are in a hurry to continue, make sure you are in an outdoors area (not indoors or in a closed city) in Skyrim and not on unpathable terrain and use the wait key to wait several ingame hours. You may have to wait a few times in a row; waiting just once places a distant NPC near you, but not directly next to you.

Why can't I buy most of the spells?
You need a high enough level in Destruction to buy high level spells. Also, remember vendor restock delays.

How do I get out of Trolhetta Cave?
Climb the scaffolding, jump across to the scaffolding platform, find the corpse, read the book.

How do I get out of the room with the crystal chandelier?
Blow yourself up with the crystals so you fly back where you came from.

I defeated AgNil-Bright but the quest does not end!
It is not over until the quest finishes. If you are stuck, try increasing your alignment level with either faction and keep using the spells from this mod to trigger the final battle, which unlocks your faction's Master spells.

It's not super easy to hit him because hitboxes for large actors are wonky. Aim at feet.

I have an urgent question for Enai!

I was weird and wanted to align myself simultaneously to both Astetu and Ilmaasi (1000/1000 each) because I thought certain spells would be locked behind their respective alignments.. and now I'm at the end of the quest and it decided to pit me against Astetu... and I can't do ANY damage to him with ANYTHING! Not arrows, not vanilla magic, and neither Luminous nor Tenebrous magics either! I'm completely locked up here... Any assistance would be immensely appreciated!

The spells take a calendar-year to cast and some spells deal little to none damage. How do I work around this?

It triggers when you use the relevant spells after hitting the limit.

I've alligned myself with the dark path and reached level 100 of destruction before starting this mod, but the diary doesn't sign that quest part as done? How can I fix it?
