Installing Crew Chief & Setup
What CREW CHIEF does:
Crew Chief adds Voice Over messsages from your Crew Chief about your car, laptimes, track conditions, race status and so forth. It also adds a Spotter, which monitors cars in close proximity relative to your car, so you can prevent crashing into opponents, you might not be able to see properly. It will tell you to hold your line, and also notify you when the coast is clear.
Not only are these useful info, but it's also a nice boost in realism and you feel less lonely during your driving sessions.
This applet supposedly works with other games aswell, can't comment on that tho.

Crew Chief is available here:
https://thecrewchief.org/

Top of the Forum,
Download Crew Chief
Install and run.

Select Automobilista 2 from the list.
Download the Soundpacks and restart Crew Chief, once everything is downloaded.
Choose your driver name from the list.
Select the Chief and Spotter voices.

In Automobilista 2
Go to the OPTIONS MENU-> SYSTEM
Shared Memory -> Set this to PROJECT CARS 2
UDP Frequence - stays OFF
UDP Protocoll Version -> Set this to PROJECT CARS 2

Once all of this is set up you should be good to go.
Run Crew Chief before you start Automobilista 2 and click Start Application.
You should hear a voice check.

Run Automobilista 2 and enjoy.

PSA: I got an alert by Avast when Crew Chief tried to write it's logfile to my documents folder. Most probably false alert, which is common with small open source applets.
Anyway use at your own risk.

Yup, i've fixed it. It's under properties "use naudio for playback" I had to turn this off for my headphones to work. Thank you!

@Indigo_Sir Gaming .
Check the Cre Chief Forums, theres a couple of threads on Headphone issues. From what i gathered it might be related to something calle nAudio. Thats my best bet for now.

I just installed it and updated everything, but when I turn it on, it won't play through my headphones even when it's set to. When I change it to play through my speakers it works just fine, but I can't hear the "radio check" message when I initially start the app.

@Voltex Sorry, haven't used voice commands myself, so I can't really tell how well it works or how to improve it. Maybe try asking around the CC forums.
