Nancy Drew: The Shattered Medallion Awards Guide

This is a guide for winning all the end game awards for Nancy Drew: The Shattered Medallion.

Intro

In this New Zealand adventure, Nancy and George compete in Pacific Run, a reality tv gameshow!

Here is a guide on how to get all of the End Game Awards for The Shattered Medallion. One amazing feature HER continued on for this one is the capability to see your awards throughout the game. Once you have achieved one, the Menu button changes to a trophy and you can click on it to see which one you got. You can also see your list of awards at any time by clicking on the Menu button and clicking the icon of the trophy to bring you to your own trophy room.

Big Spender

"For spending those hard won points"
Buy everything in the Auction House - NOTE: if you want to get this award AND the High Scorer one, wait to purchase everything until after you've gotten 700 total points (this excludes the point card and the gold mining pan). Here's everything you'll need:

Card Agon

"Playing the cards to win"
Find and use at least four points cards throughout the game. You don't need to find all of them, but here's where I've found some:
Three blue 50-point debit cards:
one in Leena's locked backpack, one in the right shaft at the goldmine, stuck in a support beam in the left fork (the one with the peephole), and one for sale at the Auction House
Two red 100-point award cards:
one in the Puzzle Palace on the stand with the flowers (after Leena decodes the page you found in Sonny's trunk), and another one in the cave at Lake Te Anau, visible in the wall at the right as you're leaving the left fork. This didn’t trigger for me until I’d found the red card in the puzzle palace
Two 50-point award cards:
one at the waterfall (on a rock as you're leaving the actual waterfall after you’ve read the "waterfall" comic) and one on sale in the Auction House

Compassionate

"For being a friend to a friend in need"
This one is probably the toughest one to get - you'll need to have all possible conversations with George, in person and via phone. Talk to her as much as possible, at base camp and on the phone. Talk to her until she starts repeating herself. Talk to her before you try to cross the bridge especially.

Dive Master

"A passion for traversing the underwater world"
Use the submarine at least 6 times; this can be just getting into it, returning to the base, and repeat until the award pops up over the menu icon.

Egged

"For discovering a hidden secret"
Classic Nancy Drew!
There are three eggs in the game to find, the last one requiring at least one egg already found.
Hen In Training
This one looks like an egg-shaped sheep. Get it by opening the stove in the woolshed seven times
Sunny Side Up
Get it by winning either Monster or Raid, or possibly some combination of the two, at least five times. You'll want to play at least 10 times to win the Gamer award so you should get this one in the process
Egg Streme
After you get into the cave at Lake Te Anau, use an egg on the fire pit before you light it

You can also use eggs on the scoreboard to get 30 points each! I saved before I did this since you'll lose the physical item. Make sure to save at least one egg to get the final egg!

Explorer

"Becoming a paddle expert"
Use the kayaks at least 12 times - this means getting in it, paddling at least one step out, then coming back and repeating until the award is triggered.

Gamer

"For being a board game connoiseur" [sic]
Win Monster or Raid at least 10 times combined. Once you play at least 5 times, you'll win a special surprise!

High Scorer

"Finishing on a high note"
Get a score of at least 700 points in the competition. You'll want to do this before placing the last medallion piece for the award to trigger. Remember that Eggs will give you 30 points each (but you'll lose the physical item) and that you'll get 10 points every time you play Raid or Monster. Don't buy anything in the Auction House (except the points card and the gold mining plate) until you hit 700.

Spoiler Free

"For finding your spoilers online ;)"
Play through the game without clicking on any of the red hints in your task list. This is given automatically if playing on master difficulty.

Super Fan

"Getting to really know the competition"
Listen to all the confessions in the TV in George's room. These accumulate throughout the game so be sure to check in often.

Survivor

"It's a shaky world, which you survived"
After the thing crashes down in the Puzzle Palace, go into the Earthquake simulator and overhear a conversation. After the conversation, turn on the simulator and duck under the table and voila!

"Aced the final exam"

Answer the trivia question correctly at the end of the game to get this one.
