So this doesn't seem to be a simple load-order issue, but a deeper structural conflict between how the two mods assign train sounds.
Could you let me know:
1. Whether Real Train Sounds is expected to work alongside Sound Fixes Pack at all, or if they are meant to be mutually exclusive?
2. If there's a specific load order, setting, or small patch file that would let both coexist (even partially)?
I understand your time is limited, so no worries if there isn't a fix planned - I just wanted to flag it clearly in case it helps, and in case there's a simple answer I'm missing.
Thanks again for all your great work over the years!
Best regards - Pierre De Crem (Steek).
A long message in two parts : first part :
First of all, thank you for Real Train Sounds - it's one of my favorite mods and I'd really like to keep using it.
I'm running into a compatibility issue with Sound Fixes Pack by Drive Safely on ETS2 1.59.1.3s:
- Real Train Sounds: v1.54
- Sound Fixes Pack: v26.37
Symptoms:
- When Sound Fixes Pack is active, ALL of Real Train Sounds' custom sounds (locomotive engine, horn, wheel/brake sounds) are completely absent, no matter where I place Real Train Sounds in the Mod Manager load order (including well above Sound Fixes Pack).
- If I disable Sound Fixes Pack entirely, Real Train Sounds works perfectly.
