Description
Spire with Friends is a multiplayer mod for Slay the Spire, which includes both a Coop and Versus mode.

Features:
• Full Steam-powered connectivity
•Plug and Play
•Up to 6 player in Coop
• Up to 200 Players in the speedrunning style Versus mode.
• A matchmaking and lobby system.

F.A.Q.

When did development of this mod begin?

- A proof of concept for this mod was created on Oct 27, 2019. I decided to do a complete mod during the Christmas holidays of Dec 2020.


Will you be merging with the other multiplayer mod?

No, the design direction of these two mods is very different. I set out from the beginning to deliberately not include simultaneous combat and will likely continue to do so.


Will you add x feature?

Some improvements are in the road map, if you'd like to chat about it please join the Discord, if you'd like to champion specific features check out my Patreon.


Will this work with other mods?

Currently, yes and no. It should work seamlessly with any non-content mods. It should also work with most content mods as long as all players are using the same ones. Character mods will work as well, but do not work in the current release due to out-of-scope UI features.


Will you be translating this into my language?

I would like to support other languages, consider contacting me on Discord if you want to provide a translation.

I appreciate the server support so i dont have to use a third party like himatchi to connect with friends. Its a lot of fun to sabotage people because am bad

I'd really like for the ability to rejoin a lobby after a disconnection. Sometimes my internet drops out of random and then I can't proceed in the game.

Is there gonna be a llockout mode? Siimilar to bingo but you have to try to get the majority tiles and when you get a tile the other one can longer get it

I wish there was an option to not share lives and if that option is on have a resurrect feature. I love getting through an act unscaved for my friend to then die 6 times.

This mod has an issue that happens quite a lot it seems. Me and my friend made it to the 2nd act boss, beat it and could not continue to the third phase on a really good run. For troubleshooting:
* We did Level 1 difficulty
* I was playing Silent, she was playing Defect
* After we both beat it, we could claim the relic and it did not let us move onto the next phase
* It was a lobby made with Heart Run and Neow Bonus enabled

I just want to say I LOVE this mod. It's a brilliant way to play this game while still being able to feel like you're playing with your friends. The only criticism I have is the trading system seems a little lackluster. I've tried TiS and the trading there is so much more open to craziness, I was just wondering if there was any way you could make an option to integrate that sort of a trade function here?

Brilliant mod! I really like the added complexity at the map level and how smooth the multiplayer experience is. My friend are having ago at as20 but our runs are going quite long - is there any possibility of implementing a save or suspension of the game so that you can come back to a shared game? Thank you for making this great mod.
