I was a little confused, wether my 3 Vile Ichor Charms actually worked (and added up).
I only got "Pink" damage when using a different (worse) weapon, that had life / vitality damage built in, but turns out: the better weapon just deals majority physical damage, so the floating numbers stayed white. Doesn't mean the bonus life damage from the charms didn't proc, just means it's still mainly physical damage.
(My magical thinking was so bad, that I used the worse wepaon and even added poison doamage to it, because I thought: maybe the Weapon needs to have all the damage types I want to add with my Charms and Relics and Artifacts. Thankfully it was all wrong ideas to begin with, just because I was staring at the damage-colors the wrong way...)
I'm trying to double-check everything, and of course I've checked the parentheses many times, but I still can't find my mistake.
Maybe you can tell me where I missed it?
=(110 * 2 * 1.55 ) + 15
Check on your parenthesis?
Incredible work, so much useful information. Thank you so much for sharing.
I don't mean to be a bore, but calculating pierce damage is bugging me. I still don't understand how we get the 1.55 variable in the formula "(110 weapon pierce x 2 (percent pierce) x 1.55 (dex/str formula)) + 15 (dex/str formula) = 356 pierce".
My calculations, using your example: 110 * (1 + 100/100) / (500/500 + 1) * (500/2000 + 1) * (400/500 + 1) + 500 * 0.03 = 110 * 2/2 * 1.25 * 2.25 + 15 = ~324
And the multiplication of STR and DEX in the formula is 0,5×1.25 x 2.25 = 1, 40625
I'm making a mistake somewhere, but I can't figure it out.
Mdemp previously asked and wrote that
N4 = (Total Physical [Dmg] / 100 [%]) * (pierce ratio [%] / 100 [%])
But in this case, we get a percentage value:
N4= (220/100%)* (50%/100%)= 1.1%,
And the piercing damage value in the formula should be a numeric value, otherwise we'll get % +15 units.
I don't understand, please help me, cause i cant sleep)
(160 x (1 - 0.66)) = 54 final damage.
this is two way? if I have 200 armor and monster hit 160 dmg? So too much armor also not so good? I mean i can not take 0 dmg at all? what if i have 500 armor and monster hit 100 dmg i take 44 dmg? so never will be situation with 0 dmg?
Elemental conversion is very strong though, is way easier for enemies to mitigate physical and pierce than elemental damage.
i game sad "Weapon dmg" . According you, all bonus dmg, dmg from other staff like ring is all other gmd, then skill for rune mastery convert only weapon dmg base?
also question2: question about pierce ratio
- Pierce damage from pierce ratio conversion on weapon is obtained from weapon physical damage after physical percent, strength, and crit are applied in the damage calculation, but before any mitigation from the target resistance/armor. Then the pierce percent and strength/dexterity formula for pierce ratio damage are applied.
so if I have a sword and rune mastery, so 99% of my weapon dmg is converted to elemental so 0 pierce dmg, because 0 physical damage? This mean rune mastery could have swords also effective?
So on late gave all this dmg is useless? Monsters got stronger and if each dmg deal independently then could be all this dmg make 0 dmg?
