Crash Bandicoot

Description
It's about time! Crash the party once again as the 1996 platforming mascot Crash Bandicoot, with an expanded crate mechanic and plenty of fresh new attacks!

Special Attacks:

Neutral Special: Crate Roulette - Crash takes out a crate and proceeds to let it change to a different kind in a specific order. He can either throw the crate out or put it away to use later by pressing shield, although he shouldn't keep the roulette spinning for too long, because otherwise the result might not be very useful...

Forward Special: Death Tornado Spin - The iconic spin attack he's had since the very beginning! With a short startup and endlag, Crash can either move forward or stay in place while spinning. He can also spin up to 8 times in a row if the special button is held down, which he can use this to glide through the air if he needs the horizontal range or to stall his movement. This attack is also great for killing at fairly high percents!

Up Special: Crate Bounce - Crash jumps up and summons the crate he has stored up from the roulette underneath himself, which he can either bounce on top of for extra height or leave there to set traps for opponents. Once a crate is out, Crash is unable to use this special (along with neutral special). Instead, as a mercy jump of sorts, Crash will use a familiar orange aura from the first game to send himself up a short distance, but he will go into freefall after using this, so it's best to save it as a last resort.

Down Special: Fruit Bazooka - Crash whips out the Fruit Bazooka he gains as a powerup for defeating Dr. N Gin in Crash Bandicoot Warped, which he can aim in three set directions! The fruit launched from the bazooka can reach a rather far distance, but shooting a fruit will give a short cooldown to any fruit based attacks (utilt and nair) and firing the bazooka. The fruit also only have a fixed amount of knockback while dealing little damage. This move is most useful for slight vertical range, pegging opponents that are off guard, and hitting a crate you don't need that's too far away.

[/b]Controlling the Bazooka:[/b] The bazooka can be adjusted up and down by moving the joystick up and down. To fire a fruit, you press the attack button. Sounds simple, right? Well, things do get a little complicated with holding the bazooka out. By default, simply pressing the special button will take it out, and pressing it again will put it away. This is the bazooka's "Automatic" mode. Its "Manual" mode works a little differently. Much akin to how it works in Crash Bandicoot Warped, holding down the special button will keep it out, and letting it go will put it away if he's not firing it. You can change the style of control by pressing shield either while the bazooka is out, or at the start of a match.

Gimmick: Crates

Crates can bust against opponents upon contact or be interacted with by Crash by hitting or jumping on top of them. Only one crate can be out at a time, and bouncing on one will automatically force Crash to use his mercy up special. These are the different crates he has at his disposal:

Normal - Minimal damage, set amount of small knockback, and sends Crash up a short distance when bounced on.

Caged - Slightly more damage and knockback as the previous crate, but knockback is still fixed. Crash can bounce on these a fairly high distance up to 5 times before they break.

? - Deal a little more knockback and damage than normal, but this time have scaling to their knockback. Bouncing on them is the same as bouncing on a normal crate.

Arrow - Slightly less damage than ? but now sends at a more upward angle with a bit more knockback. Crash can bounce on these infinitely and reach a higher distance than with caged.

TNT - A countdown triggers when either touched by an opponent or bounced on by Crash. Either once the countdown is done or on hit will the TNT burst into a moderately ranged explosion that deals a fair amount of knockback and damage.

Nitro - Explodes upon impact of any shape or form with ANYBODY, giving off a powerful explosion that sends foes upwards. Can you spell "smithereens"?

Steel - Crash will only throw these if he lets the crate roulette go on for too long, and they do nothing but block the way. It might have some uses, but let it be a reminder to think fast when choosing a crate.

I appreciate all of the awards and compliments everybody! To address a couple of things...

@UndeadSniper5587: Thanks a lot! I put a lot of work into fitting as many fun details into Crash as I could, as this is in a way meant to be a love letter to the Crash Bandicoot platformers. I don't intend to do Banjo though. Sorry :(

@YT/bendyjw: I think you'll like the update I recently made to it! By default, you can keep it out just by pressing special and put it back by pressing it again. However, you can switch "modes" while it's out or at the start of a match to make it work the way it used to if that's what you're more comfortable with.

Make Crash's Death Tornado Spin his Neutral Special, Crates his Side Special, and Jetpack his Up Special.
