Battle tactics. (Works with most factions)

This is a battle tactic that I have used many times and it has worked at all of them.

You put your melee infantry in a large line and your skirmishers behind them (Preferably Javelinmen).
Then when the enemy comes charging use 1 unit out of every 2nd space in the line and counter charge them.

Then you use you second unit and skrmishers in the line and use them to walk past the enemy as your soldiers are holding them up,
and just go behind the enemy and flank themfrom the side. After that use your Javelin men to get behind the enemy and fire at their backs. This battle- tactic has worked every time for me on legendary and i use it to take out armies really fast for example if the army is reciveing reinforcments and i need can take out the armies 1 by 1.
Hope this tactic helped you and you can use offense as a weapon more aggressively in your battles.

Wouldn't it be easier to have two thin lines one behind the other, and then flank with the rear line?
